   We were disappointed this morning. The service was slow and though our water glasses were kept full, when one of our party asked for sparkling water, it was out of stock and it took an unreasonably long time to get her club soda. She requested lemon and got lime. An egg white omelette was requested and it included the yolks. Two of us had quiche and it was served room temperature (at best). Not all of the components of our meals came out together, it took a long time to get drinks ordered and delivered and though everyone was friendly, none of the staff seemed in a hurry to serve. I have had great dinner experiences at your restaurant but was truly disappointed in brunch today.

   We stopped in to La Belle Helen at 10 am on a Saturday for Brunch. We really love this spot. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is great. While our experience this time was less than stellar it was not due to service or food. Both of those were great. Unfortunately, there was a party that was scheduled on this day. We were not aware of this. It took up half of the restaurant. That in and of itself is also not a problem. The problem that we had were the non-stop people flooding in to set up the area. From what I could tell they were having a baby shower that also offered some type of create your own fragrance as part of the party. Throughout our entire experience I don't think that we had more than 1 minute between people noisily walking past us to either bring in equipment or gifts. It really made a beautiful restaurant experience very lackluster. I recognize this was just bad timing on our part. I also recognize the need for restaurants to have and allow these types of parties. It just dulled our experience. All of this said, this is a great restaurant and we will definitely be back. Hopefully at a time when there isn't another party scheduled:)

   Exquisitely prepared food with subtle refinement. In fact, after thirty years of travel in France, this gem in Charlotte, North Carolina surpasses the ambiance and quality of all but a handful of restaurants in France itself. Highly recommended!

   Disappointing experience. Food was an attempt at best to emulate French cooking but without using any proven techniques. Won’t be back.

   My wife and I had a lovely time. We got the duck confit and salmon. The service was very good, and the food was tasty. The dark chocolate cake was a delicious desert.

    Colin was wonderful! His menu suggestions were all bullseyes!! Thank you, again!! The food and drinks were superb!! Mom and I enjoyed the seafood as well as the beef😊
