Located next to a beautiful beach, we are a vibrant and cozy place to enjoy modern Japanese cuisine from our enthusiastic and companionable team members.

We accept reservations online for up to 6 guests, with a seating time of 2 hours. We encourage guests after a reservation for 1-6 diners to make their bookings online. 15 minutes grace time to all bookings. Please note that our online booking system reflects real time availability at the restaurant.

For groups of 7 guests or more, please contact our reservations team on 0411 306 208 or info@kicho.com.au. Please note that groups of 7+ guests are required to dine on a set menu.

We take enquires for large group booking or catering requirements.

Set in the heart of Black Rock village, Kicho is conveniently located. We sat at the window and enjoyed the breeze. The feed me menu was lovely although portions were small. We paired the dishes with sake & Pinot Gris. The sake was pleasant but I’d choose differently next time I think (wine or cocktails). Some crockery dishes were chipped. A nice experience, the tempura zucchini flower & chicken dish were highlights - very moreish. Thank you.

Noisy restaurant but great ambience. Food mostly good but servings small. Sons came home and ate noodles!

Kicho is a lovely japanese restaurant. The food is superb, service is a bit slack but it depends who you get on the night. It is def one of local favourites

We used to think Kicho was the best restaurant in Black Rock, but it has slipped. Attentiveness of waiters was poor, food initially came out far too quickly until we told them to slow down. We eventually let ourselves out the door.
