Opening in the most extraordinary of times, Kent Rd Bistro was founded in June 2020 and has already become a local favourite. In true bistro tradition, the food is French and Italian inspired, modern Australian.

Owned and run by husband and wife team, Tim and Victoria Michels, Kent Rd Bistro offers guests a relaxed and inviting place to come and enjoy delicious fare in the beautiful surroundings of the two dining rooms.

A BYO restaurant, the menu changes regularly offering the best of in season produce with a classic, modern and warm dining experience. Chef Tim Michels has over 25 years’ experience as head chef at haute cuisine restaurants in Sydney, Hunter Valley and Brisbane. Together with maitre’d Victoria Michels who delivers the finest hospitality, the couple make a formidable team.

Kent Road Bistro is an amazing gem. Great food, fantastic service, cosy atmosphere and even better…it’s BYO. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals and were so impressed with the personal attention and care taken by the staff. Will definitely be back again.

This is our second visit to Kent Road Bistro and we will visit again. The food and service were top class and while it may not be the cheapest restaurant in the area it is great value for money

A truely wonderful dining experience. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening selection the 3 course menu. All 3 courses were beautifully prepared and presented. Highly recommend and we love the BYO option.
