service was very uneven. Started out pretty well, but then the time between first course and main course was VERY long, our server seemed to have disappeared even though she knew we had a curtain time to make, had to talk to someone else who checked, apologized and said it was being plated, The 5 of the 6 entrees came out, but one persons wasn't ready. Took another 10+ minutes for the last main to show up. So we went from having a lot of time to being worried and rushed. Food was somewhat uneven. Salads and brussel sprout starters were good. Mussels got mixed reviews. One person felt the sauce was lacking in flavor. Loup de Mer/branzino was good , as were the steak frites and short ribs. Person who ordered the pasts dish said it wasn't great and he would not order it again.

This was our first time to see a performance of the LA OPERA. I wanted to have dinner before the performance and felt that something at the Music Center itself would be best because of the traffic. Good call. Viewing the menu in advance of our evening, it seemed good but frankly, I had only moderate expectations. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! We started dinner out with a shared Caesar Salad which was excellent and the bread was fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the Steak Frites and I had the Brick1/2 Chicken. They were both superb. Our server was extremely polite and attentive. The noise level was low. You can talk and actually hear what the other person is saying. This is going to be our new go-to restaurant prior to attending performances.

The mussels, fries, and brussel sprouts were excellent. Kate was especially good. Salad dressing not so good. We didn’t order bread because $10 is ridiculous. This should be free. The charge creates negativity. Overall, we enjoyed our experience.

Dissappointing. I have been growing here for years and I was very pleased with the new management in the beginning, but it is not holding up well. The facilities do not seem to being well maintained and the service is prompt, but not of the same high caliber that I have seen in the past.

Love the new menu and great service (thanks Jaela S!) it is too noisy to hear dinner companions, a fault of too many restaurants. Will return.

I have frequented Kendalls many times over the years. I was pretty disappointed with the recent menu change. The charcuterie board we frequently used to enjoy has shrunk considerably. But not the price. Very disappointing. Also, since the design renovations a few years back, it has lacked its warm charming character. Service was excellent, however.

Terribly noisy. No service at all for 15 minutes. Moved to open seating at bar finally. Average sparkling wine $19 a glass at brunch time. Very poor menu selections & all overpriced since it’s only option at Music Center I guess. Did like the chicken liver mousse but it was $18 for one piece of toasted bread. Steak & fries so small for $40+ & medium rare steak served nearly raw. Delicious French fries. Just have a glass of wine & order of fries at bar. Still be prepared for that to cost $40!!! It is convenient to Dorothy Chandler Terrible service. Waiter & bartender seemed unhappy & overwhelmed!

Great location, adjacent to the Music Center venues. Food is good, but a bit over-priced. Service was wonderful.
