Made reservation for Christmas dinner buffet for $99 per person. The food was really really average. Fish was like a brick, dessert bar was almost non existent and the food was delivered as in a cheap buffet. Service and ambiance were great. Not a great value for the money or what I would have expected from the Fairmont.

Worst meal on Christmas Eve. While Maui rates are high, $100 per person for cold buffet with minimal effort of bland meal reflects poor overall experience. If this is the best you can do I’d suggest not doing it. The breakfast buffet at same restaurant was good. What happened? Staff could care less and trying to move you along to go home. Fairmont usually good, but this wasn’t up to par and needs to stop because you’re not giving a good meal. Sorry for the blunt criticism but someone needs to speak up so you stop dishing out bad meals.

The hotel offered a Christmas Eve buffet. It was overpriced and food was terrible. Food choices were limited, carving station wasn’t manned half the time and items advertised as being included weren’t. Worst of all, they started packing things up at 7:45 when it was scheduled to 8 pm. Staffing continued to be an issue, but pay people more, you clearly were charging more.

Nothing specially made for a Christmas dinner.. Could've had more options besides a bunch of basic starches

The service was great. The food was ok at best. As my husband said. “If you are going to pull a fish out of the sea, cook it properly or just leave it there.” And FYi this is Maui. Fish is life. For a fairmont it was certainly not up to snuff. 100% not going back.

Not a typical Fairmont experience. Noisy with no ambiance. Sat at table in middle of walkway. 15 minutes before a waiter showed up. Limited drink menu. Food was OK but not up to Fairmont standards. Overall, somewhat disappointing.

Enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet. The food was great and the ambiance was wonderful - it's Hawaii!

Our only negative was the fact that so many people were walking by on their way to the beach or pool and were not wearing masks so close to where we were eating. The next time we come I would rather be more inside away from the constant traffic.
