The black cod is to die for! The sushi is best I’ve had and that’s saying a lot.

Rice is made in an insta pot, wasn’t cooked all the way. Sushi is made up of two parts, rice and fish, if rice isn’t good, fish will not be good. They served wasabi that comes in a plastic bag, chef drank during service, and got made at co-worker for talking to us in Spanish. And to top it off we had bone in 2 separate nigiri servings. By far the worst Omakase experience I have ever had.

This was our first time in the separate downstairs area for the omakase tasting dinner. It was totally outstanding. We had previously dined in the general dining area downstairs, with wonderful food and service. But if you don't mind the higher fixed price for the omakase tasting menu dinner, go for it -- it is worth it. You won't find a better omakase experience anywhere unless maybe in Japan.

Well it started a little rocky but only bc I didn’t realize until the last moment it was a sushi joint and I don’t do raw. Whoops. I contacted them to try to back out but with the $85 per person guarantee we were stuck. They promised to accommodate and said there were plenty of options for folks like me. When we arrived they placed us downstairs and I thought it might be a punishment but it was much more lively downstairs. You want to be there. The menu really does have a lot of options. We had edamame, pork goyza, and I had the shrimp chili. Lots of yummy veggies. The bread that comes w was amazing too. My sushi snob boyfriend had sashimi and he asked what was best and fresh and wasn’t disappointed! A couple great cocktails and the dinner was really good. The staff there are pros. The best part - they acknowledged the rocky start and brought us a Macha tiramasu to enjoy. What a great experience. Great restaurant. Good people. I’d go back and you should def put it on the list when you’re there.

While the location and modern decor might catch your eye, this sushi restaurant unfortunately falls short of expectations. The menu consists primarily of standard rolls and nigiri offerings, but at prices that are 20-30% higher than even NYC. The salmon and tuna lacked the buttery texture and rich flavor you'd expect at this price point, and the rice was inconsistently seasoned and cold. The service, though prompt and friendly, felt overly focused on upselling - our server repeatedly pushed very high priced specialty rolls despite our clear preferences. This aggressive sales approach detracted from the dining experience. For those well-versed in sushi, skip this one. The restaurant lacks distinguishing features like unique house specialties or traditionally-trained sushi chefs that would justify its premium pricing. Save your sushi cravings (and money) for establishments that better balance quality, authenticity, and value.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Telluride. They are consistent, the fish quality is high and the ambiance is perfect. We prefer the downstairs dining room, nice and cozy on a cold winter night for a la cart ordering. They have a phenomenal sake and wine selection. If you’re looking for a longer, more intimate experience, the omakase offerings in the private chef’s room is one of the more unique meal experiences you will find in Telluride. They offer sake and wine pairings that are very enjoyable as well.
