This was a very fun, unique experience in Muskoka that we will remember for years. It was great to have such a special, personal dining experience. The staff was phenomenal, the setting was magical and the food was delicious!

What an amazing experience the service was impeccable! It was a special way to ring in the new year! It is pricey but worth it for a special occasion. We ordered so much food but got to take left overs home. The charcuterie board was meh do not recommend you can make a better one yourself. The fondue was really great but it got a little smoky inside the dome. Great experience will be back.

This was an EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING experience with majority of the disappointment relating to the below average food. Most of the dishes were left uneaten by us - even the carrots were not cooked well. We genuinely feel like we were taken advantage of and that the experience is barely worth even half of what we paid. The only exceptional thing was the service. The "ice cave" itself was beautifully decorated but not at all well kept with the structure not even being put together correctly. Truthfully, sitting at the fire pit with a pizza would have been a better experience. We then went to the "ice bar" - which we paid extra for - which was also just shockingly poorly depicted. The floor wasnt even covered with snow (as in the pictures) and was simply an exposed aluminium floor. The room itself also looked unclean. One would assume a small detail like that should be taken care of? There was also no seating or proper presentation etc and we paid all that money to spend a total of about 3 minutes in the ice bar. This was all nothing like what was advertised and again left us with the bitter taste of disappointment. Overall, having traveled over 24 hours to experience this, we are beyond dissatisfied with the shockingly high price we paid for a below average experience. The hotel itself is amazing, and the staff / service were exceptional! I just would not advise anyone to try this “experience”.

The staff were extremely nice and professional . It was a magical experience. The food was amazing and was served in a timely manner We had a choice of ordering from chop house menu or the cave menu and ww went with the cave menu which was an excellent choice The dome was nicely decorated and warmed with space heaters It is definitely recommended for a quick gateaway

The food and presentation were more like a conference or wedding than a fine dining experience. This is not what we expected for what we paid. Our server was inexperienced and clearly nervous which only added to the disappointment. The ambiance of the cave was wonderful. If the food lived up to the ambiance it would have been great. Do not recommend unless you like wedding food.

What a great 40th anniversary experience. It was a record cold night, however, the heater and blankets kept us cozy. Credit to the two person team that served us. They had smiles every time they checked in on this even when it reached -22 outside. The courses were spread out, food arrived hot, and, we didn’t feel rushed. The food was fantastic. Rack of lamb delicious. Hats off to chef. If you have never tried this dining experience you should. We even played music that we liked in our cave because it didn’t disturb other diners.

Staff were outstanding and went above and beyond. The food quality was moderate. Ribeye steak was thin and over cooked. Striploin steak was just Ok. For the $500 you have to pay its way overpriced. Great experience but wouldn’t do it again. Beware as others stated I was double charged by the hotel on check out on top of paying the $500 you had to pay upon booking reservation. The front desk corrected it but it needs to get fixed as it leaves a poor taste in your mouth to be charged a $1000 for dinner! We will visit again but will stick with the normal Chophouse restaurant.

A good place for a special date. A bit on the pricy side but it is an experience for sure.

Extremely disappointing experience. Was planning to have a romantic dinner with my wife but the ice cave was very cold and the food was subpar yet very expensive due to the minimum spend. Paid $72 for a steak that was overcooked and dry. Reordered it medium well and the steak was cooked to well done. Was also excited to try bison for the first time but it was very overcooked. The food also got cold within minutes because the ice cave was so cold. The dinner service was supposed to be a 2hr dining experience but it took over 3hrs before we were served dessert. No music was provided for atmosphere but was encouraged to play songs from our phone. After tax and gratuity you'll be spending $700 for 2 people. Unfortunately wasn't even close to being worth it.

Before I get into the negative, I do want to say that the ambience was great. We ordered a bottle of wine within the first 5 mins of being seated; we did not receive that bottle of wine until 45 mins later. All the meals are pre-ordered, it took about 1 hour from being seated before we got our soup. The food was okay, nothing great and nothing to look forward too. The food from the “cottage bar” inside is definitely better than this experience (and cheaper). The servers were not knowledgeable in the cheese plate, the food being served or wine (you’d expect that for spending $250 a person). The total $250 needs to be spend on food and drinks. Regardless, if you do not use that full amount you are charged regardless. You are charged an additional HST plus local HST fee plus a mandatory 18% tip on top. **check our receipt when checking out, we were double charged for the experience **
