   Restaurant was decorated beautifully, high ceilings and open space. Staff was nice and attentive. Food was good, but some of the dishes were bland and we had to ask for salt and pepper as they didn't have any at the table. Towel was not clean and had lipstick stain, but staff was kind enough to change it immediately. Pricing was a little high for the dishes that were served in my humble opinion. Basically city prices out in Long Island. Considering the menu pricing I am surprised the restaurant did not serve bread at the table for dinner server. Overall experience was good however, it was nice to try once, but not sure if I'd return again as there are other comparable restaurants in the area at a better value.

   The food was average. The steak was good. Service was amazing. It was a quiet night which is just what was needed.

   My 2nd time at Juniper its a lovely gem in the Vanderbilt - the cocktails and food was really good it passes the vibe check and there is something about their lighting every picture is amazing!

   - Res for three on Sat night, 745pm. Arrived approx 735pm, informed to wait while a server helped with a table - Was not seated until after 750pm, after which 20 mins passed without a sign of a waiter, water, or anything else. - Complained to hostess, who sent the manager to take our order. Manager never introduced himself, nor apologized for the wait. He promptly took our full order (I was not taking a chance of waiting another 20+ mins for someone to show up) and passed us to our server 10 mins later. - Food did arrive promptly - crabcakes, artichocke and spinach dip to start. Entrees fired were blackend flank steak and NY Strip. Dessert was bread pudding. - Food quality was solid with exception of the NY Strip - odd cut and should not be labeled a strip. Apps were solid as was the remainder of the meal. Serivce is severely lacking and I noticed they were most likely down one server (later confirmed by the hostess). Would have appreciated a token of apologies for the manager or acknowledgement for what occured. I heard at least two other tables complaining about service issues. Keep in mind the restaurant was about 70% full and not at full capacity.

   We went at a time that few people were there. We were sat in a booth with high sides so we could see no other people. We could see the huge wine cellar and the outside area. Our server was pleasant but we waited long times for our food, and our wine. I ordered from the restaurant week menu which was a good number of choices. My husband ordered off and enjoyed his pork chop and coconut shrimp (which were huge). His wine was a pinot noir which was excellent. Prices are okay - wine is a little high.

   Big birthday party but they kept relatively quiet considering the number and age of participants. A Greek salad was served without lettuce and a bowl of green peppers. Asked them to make to order and was given lettuce, but all peppers (including the red I wanted) were removed. Underripe tomatoes made for a poor choice. I would go again, but would order something else especially since I was overcharged on shrimp which was $16 on menu and $18 on bill (didn't realize until after paying). Generous portion of pancakes with strawberries and bacon cooked perfectly and served with dot of butter and real maple syrup. Limited dessert choices and none seemed worth the calories.

   Last evening at Restaurant Week, the dinner was very good & what you would expect from a fine restaurant. With one evening left to take advantage of this promotion, we would recommend that everyone should try it. Juniper has always been a worthwhile dining experience..............ENJOY!

   Went for restaurant week - what an amazing deal for top notch food & service in a beautiful atmosphere .. Went with 3 friends & we weee all thrilled ! I will definitely plan on getting there again soon !

   I gave Juniper a try for restaurant week & was so pleased. The decor & ambiance was beautiful. The waiter was friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good. We had pear salad & mushroom Flatbread for appetizers, then short rib pappardelle & red snapper for our entrees. Delicious!

    Unfortunately they were short on servers so not up to usual standard. The staff did the best they could under the circumstances.
