Welcome to J’s on the Bay, owned and operated by proprietor Chef Joe Salimeni, award-winning graduate of French Culinary Institute and self made owner of this establishment as well as J’s Meal Prep. J’s On the Bay offers Meal Prep for busy customers on the go. From quinoa salads to truffled chicken lettuce wraps, turkey chili and everything in between. They offer weekly delivery to all five boroughs and soon, nationwide distribution.
J’s offers its customers a unique dining experience with its off the cuff combinations of classic ingredients and their unexpected marriages Chef Joe constructs. J’s was first opened in 2014 has evolved over the last 7 years from a homely neighborhood diner to the fine dining restaurant it is today. Would 100% recommend J’s on the bay to everyone. The food and service were top notch. Every suggestion that was made was spot on chicken parm pizza with the arabiatta vodka sauce was a hit will be back for that again. Service was top notch as well. 10 stars

The food was good. They seemed to be in transition. Restaurant was empty. Service was not great. This is not the same place that was so good and packed that I remember.

J's on the Bay is a great local spot serving gourmet brunch, lunch and dinner. Tasty and refreshing mocktails--try the blueberry mojito! Loved the dessert presentations including flourless chocolate cake and banana bread pudding. Our group sat in the refurbished back room space. It's an open space that can tend to get a bit warm when crowded. The servers were attentive but also let us linger. We enjoyed frittatas, burgers, french toast and eggs in purgatory. This is a go to on my list of SI restaurants.

Excellent experience at Js as always. Sharif went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He made us a delicious cocktail. As well as gave us excellent suggestions. The zucchini flowers were absolutely fantastic. The best ones I ever had. I love the twist they put on them. The street corn pie is our go to pie. Sounds weird but it’s incredible, an absolute must try! Spicy rigatoni is one of my favorites and I’ve never had it here before & it was also one of my favorites I’ve ever had. Everything is always delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here. They put their own twist on Italian dishes. Making them modern & fun. Looking forward to going back & trying new things! Thank you Sharif for the amazing hospitality!
