   The roasts are unmatchable, extremely tasty with beautiful cuts of meat. We opted for the platter for two to share, this was priced on the menu as a sharing platter for £27 but when we went to pay it ended up being £27pp. I feel that the wording on the menu needs changing to reflect the per person amount to avoid any unexpected bill. Other than that we had a great time and my mum had a memorable Mother’s Day.

   Six of us went for a Mother’s Day lunch and the food was outstanding!! Between us we had all the different meats and all were divine. The vegetables are plentiful and varied, the Yorkshire puddings huge and delicious. Service considering it was very busy was well delivered with a smile. A good Bloody Mary too. We will definitely return .

   Great gem of a place, have been to the Dalston restaurant numerous times and had to try this one, and it didn’t disappoint. The food is as expected- excellent The venue - fabulous

   We were in the snug which was nice in that we could easily talk and hear each other but lacked atmosphere as we were by ourselves away from all the other diners. The food was nice. And the airing staff were attentive. Would go again, not on a Sunday and would book a different table.

   The restaurant was very quiet only 3 tables were taken. There was a huge puddle of water on the floor in the middle of the restaurant. The service was terrible, we had to keep getting up from our table to find the waiter for drinks. My starter was pear and walnut salad, I had to send it back as no walnuts in it, then it came back with 1/2 a crushed walnut in it, at a cost of £10, no way. Restaurant deducted the cost of it, I couldn't eat it. The dressing tasted as if it was made from old oil. Main course however was a great success, one of the best pieces of steak I've ever had. Would I go back? No. Shame as we need a good restaurant near us.

   Lovely evening with friends. Service was great and given by friendly and competent staff. Steak was cooked just as I asked it to be. Portion sizes were decent. All in all, very happy, thank you! We’ll be back for Sunday lunch next…

   We ordered the triple cooked chips and were told they had run out of potatoes. That's some serious mismanagement by the chefs. It's cooking 101. There are also a number of places where you can acquire groceries within a 5 minute walk and there were enough staff to manage this. This is a Saturday night reservation so prime time, and also the last time I checked, you can store spuds for weeks. The food was ok but doesn't match the price. Staff serving us were great but others not so. Perhaps they need some further training.

   Third time at Jones and Sons, South Woodford and similar experience each time; good food let down by poor service. 45mins wait for our drinks to arrive and thereafter no one came to ask if we wanted to order any more. Finished glasses left at the table etc. Food was good but not as good as the last Sunday we went there, I think the menu has recently changed. Details….no sauces offered, when asked they turned up in dishes with no spoons, no spoons for the sides etc. It’s a real shame, we can walk there so it should be our go to place but we rarely book due to the experience with service. We went to the soft launch and the wait etc. was bad but you expect it to have been sorted after a year or so. The staff are good but there’s not enough. They need to flood the place with staff, especially on a Sunday….sitting downstairs you’re basically out of sight, out of mind. I don’t want to be spending most of my time keeping an eye out for a member of staff to ask where our drinks are or asking to order something. Be nice to be asked if there is anything else you’d like…especially when you’re paying decent prices.

    Easy booking process. Nice venue for a family brunch. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was tasty and good sized portion. Priced about right for location, service and quality of food. We will definitely be heading back for more.
