   Had dinner for the first time at JOEY Dallas on a Thursday night. Staff is friendly. They offer a small flute of sparkling wine as you check in for the reservation. The menu is not complicated and has some “interesting” food combinations. My friend and I both had a house salad, which is fantastic, the beef carpaccio(very good & shareable) and the cod tacos(just ok). It was a good experience and our server was a complete delight.

   The service is always outstanding and the dining options are varied with good quality ingredients and deft execution. We sampled the sushi cones this visit, compliments of the restaurant. The tempura batter was light and the seafood sweet. Nice menu add.

   This was my 2nd time and overall it was decent. Nothing fancy. Good food and par service. We had one hiccup with raw chicken tenders for my daughter. Thankfully I always cut open her food and inspect it before she even touches it. Of course they gave her a new one. Another mishap was the delayed service to order main course. We got drinks and apps in a decent time. But I think our server forgot about us. She didn’t come back for 30 minutes. We told other servers but I think they forgot too. It took all six of us to turn our necks like bobble heads to finally get her attention. We had 7:30 reservations and didn’t eat until 9:15 because of the delay which is what I was trying to avoid with a toddler. The steak was good just a little cold. It was cooked perfectly just probably sat for too long. We also also had 3rd round of drinks ordered that never came out. I think they just had an off night. We sat on in the indoor patio, it didn’t appear busy as there were unoccupied tables around us. Between 7 people we had steak bites, cauliflower, wings, truffle fries, 2 steak and ravioli, steak and sushi, joey burger, steak and crab cake, chicken lettuce wraps, chicken fingers, Joey 75, Bourbon teas, old fashions, and mango mai tai’s. Like I said, off night but I’ll be back because the food is good and the ambience is perfect to end the stress of a 60 hour work week.

   Amazing experience from the minute we walked in until the end of the evening. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the entire staff is energetic and attentive. Cocktails and food were outstanding! This was my first time there and I’m already excited to go back. Highly recommend.

   First time guest. Being greeted with champagne was an amazing start to a wonderful experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the food were all incredible. I was worried about a “mall restaurant,”but it was a wonderful experience. One I hope to repeat many times!!!

   Food was good but the service was poor. Would definitely skip for a business dinner. For $100 per person before tip I expect at least pretty good service if not great. That was missing here. We got water when we sat but then the server did not come back for a very long time or take drink orders. They did not come back to take meal orders until after apps were already finished and being cleared. You cannot be an elevated dining experience with diner quality service. Likely won’t be back.

    Joey is a beautiful restaurant. The food was nice. The service personnel were so nice when they were able to be at your table. Joey staffing was greatly overworked. We asked 3 times for a cup of coffee, the the waitress, assistant manager, and the girl busing tables. The personnel busing tables finally brought it at the end of the meal. All people were pleasant they just need more workers.
