For every concept that we discuss, we will taste a wine that will showcase the theory…no question is a bad question unless not asked! The aim of this course is to demystify wines and answer any unanswered question, whilst giving you some fun, intelligent facts about wine that will silence any wine boars…a chance to learn the fun common-sense facts about wine in a friendly fun environment. There will be a wine pack for each class for you to take away and a chance the following week to ask any further questions you might have thought about. There will be plenty of wine flowing at each session to test the theories, and each class will last 1.5 hours. Session 1 - Grapes & Wine Styles This will be looking at grapes across the world, whether indigenous or international grape varieties – we will look at organic, biodynamic, orange, pink & natural wines. We will explore viticulture – the vineyard is such an important part of the wine process and discuss the soil and history of the terroir – which has a huge impact on the end wine.
