   Hapgoods has become our favorite go to restaurant for lunch AND dinner! We love the food, atmosphere, gift selection and all of the fabulous employees. We cannot be happier that the new owners took ownership in 2024 and have brought our local eatery back to life! Thank you!!! Looking forward to eating here for many years to come!    The food was excellent. Crispy Brussel sprouts were exactly that - much lighter than most restaurants that tend to just grill the whole Brussel sprout. These were individual leaves in a wonderful lemon vinaigrette (?). The pork chop, locally sourced, was equally delicious. Look forward to eating here again.

   We enjoyed a cozy dinner on a very wintry evening and the atmosphere could not have been more perfect. The staff stayed in touch with us about our reservation because of the snowy travel, the food was delicious (sweet potato gnocchi - out of this world), and everyone was helpful and friendly. We hope to make Hapgood’s the place where “everybody knows our name.”

   We had a wonderful meal last night at JJ Hapgoods. I had the steak with peppercorn sauce which was wonderful. My wife had a vegetarian dish, the mushrooms ravioli dish which was also excellent. Best of all they have Guinness on tap. If you are anywhere near Peru, this is a must visit!

    Wonderful atmosphere. Staff is very lovely. Food is good. Steak may not be their specialty as strip cuts were average and not at correct (ordered temp) but otherwise food was very good.
