Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

It was our first time to Jefferies and we were so excited to see how charming and lovely it was inside and even lively compared to stories. We heard how it used to be stuffy and quiet. Overall, it was an OK experience, but the service was so slow that we had a 715 reservation and didn’t get out of there until 930. The weight staff were all very friendly. It was just very slow. The food was good, but not stellar to the point of the price we say that this as we were just at BOA steakhouse the night before.

A truly amazing experience from a classic restaurant. Highly recommend putting this on the bucket list to enjoy fine dining g at its best. Colin S, our server, was attentive, fun and well educated on the menu and wine. He recommended the Jordan Cab Sav to pair with our delicious filet. Highlights for us was the hamachi carpaccio. Prob one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. The ham and Gruyère croquettes were amazing with the Calabrian chiles. You just want to keep ordering food because everything taste amazing.

We celebrated our friend’s recent marriage. It felt like Jeffries celebrated with us. They offered congratulations at the door, there was a little note of congrats waiting on our table. They brought celebratory champagne for toasting and our waiter was all around great and so helpful. Couldn’t have been happier with everything from service to food. I will def celebrate at Jeffries again!

Extremely expensive and limited appetizers We wanted to have a glass of wine with the meal,however, wine by the glass was limited selection and cost was $30 + I had the Rack of Lamb it was good but not $120 good as I can cook a better one at home. My partner had the Beef Short Ribs which was very good but was an extremely small portion for $63 Overall we had a pleasant evening but would not return

Hosts, wait staff, and food was outstanding. Best part was the atmosphere with friends and sharing a premium Beluga Gold Line Martini. Wishing it was on the bar cart as well.
