   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 Billion Stars for Jake’s Grill! Yesterday, my husband Luis, my bestie Jennifer, and I had the most perfect brunch at Jake’s Grill in Portland. I ordered the Oregon Dungeness Crab Benedict with a side of a biscuit, and WOW—every bite was bursting with flavor, with big, juicy chunks of crab that were absolutely scrumptious. We couldn’t resist the $3.00 mimosas, so of course, we had a few, and they were delightfully refreshing. Now, let’s talk about Amber, our waitress—sweet, kind, warm, and hands down the BEST server I’ve ever had in my entire life. If I could give her a 10 billion star rating, I would. She made our experience feel so special. The restaurant was spotless, including the bathrooms (always a good sign), and the manager even stopped by to say hello, which was a lovely touch. Perfect food, perfect service, perfect atmosphere—an all-around flawless brunch! Highly recommend!

   Celebrated our anniversary. It is a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions. They personalize the menus and make you feel welcomed. The service is spectacular. The food is wonderful, especially the steak. Highly recommend.

   Great location downtown Portland, nice large space with corner windows, dark wood and brass definitely old school vibe. Perhaps it's the most head mounted over the bar. Food is consistent and very good, classic American Cuisine and good quality steaks. The service is always friendly informed and professional any questions they will steer you right. I appreciate the strong drinks and a heavy pours the bar has to offer. Jake's is my go-to place when I am in town.

   As a server myself, I try really hard to put things into perspective when going out to eat but honestly I couldn’t when dining at Jake’s Grill last night. It was a strange experience from the second we walked in the door. The hostess was very sweet and we had a nice chat while being seated, that was a plus. We were sat next to the window which would’ve been fine if it wasn’t extremely cold but that isn’t their fault. As soon as we are sat, my partner overheard the support staff make a comment to another staff member saying “well you could take that two top” and made a face while laughing. I understand that we don’t look like big money spenders but how could you possibly tell that without interacting at all with us. I tried really hard to brush that off, but it became more difficult as 35 minutes passed before we were even greeted (mind you we had a 7:00 reservation). The server greeted us with water and poured it into my glass, which was dirty by the way. The food was okay, not nearly as good as it should’ve been considering we spent 106$ plus a 25$ tip. I just feel like the accumulation of multiple bizarre things throughout our time at Jake’s makes it difficult to think of a reason to return.

   All day excellent menu that is priced moderately, in close proximity to the light rail and streetcar

    We went to celebrate my 66th birthday A grey goose martini Duck confit flatbread Beet and tangerine salad Prime New York Steak Mashed potatoes Creamed Spinach Crème brûlée. Everything was delicious, I don’t think I like the duck very much, everything else was 5 stars. The service was terrific. The store was very loud. We’ll be back.
