Nestled in bouldery mountains along historic Old Highway 80, in a magical high desert community lies the Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel. The hotel has been designed with a sense of place, with natural materials, textures, & objects from ancient & primitive cultures from around the world. Our restaurant offers indoor dining under vintage ceramic lights and desert landscapes or our large outdoor shaded patios under a canopy of old-world lanterns and pine trees with a live music stage.

Our menu features an International High Desert menu that showcases the farms and ranches of Imperial Valley, the fresh seafood of Baja, and specialty regional purveyors. Make sure to save time to enjoy high desert elixirs, herbal tinctures, cold-pressed juices, tonics, and cocktails, handcrafted in our exotic desert hideaway bar.

Once you are here, nothing else matters.

The food was good. Unique menu. Our server was nice but not well versed in their menu items to explain the dishes or serving sizes. The indoor space is a bit cramped. The two-top tables are about 12 inches apart. They did not plan their food ordering for dinner service well. By 7pm they were out of a number of dinner menu items. That made their limited menu options very limited and some dishes were missing elements: the wedge salad had no wedge lettuce. It was an odd dining experience for a resort that has only one restaurant option. There is nothing else out there when you are staying the night at the resort. They had apologies, but did not bother to offer a comp drink or anything to make up for the reduced dinner options.

We arrived promptly for our reservation but had to wait a few minutes before someone acknowledged us at the hostess stand. Service was friendly and obliging, and the restaurant was very quiet. The evenings are very cold in the desert, so in the event that a first available table is outside, plan accordingly and dress warmly. Food was delicious and the cocktail menu has an experimental flare to it. I say come prepared to try something new, especially if you are not local to Southern California.

Chef Leo and his staff deserve a lot of credit for awesome dining experiences. The food, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner is innovative and delicious. The servers are knowledgeable and always ready to give descriptions of food and help with choices. We were there for 3 nights and we tried almost everything on the menus. Sad that there were NO carnitas to enjoy this trip! I would recommend coming out of Chef Leo's kitchen!!

This is a unique place, with a very special vibe. It’s in an almost forgotten corner of California, on the border with Mexico, set in the remnants of a spa town that thrived in the 1920s and 1930s. The hotel itself is beautifully furnished in a hip Southwest style with international touches(India, Indonesia, Mexico). The restaurant is excellent. The service is friendly and efficient. One of the coolest places I’ve been!

Amazing amazing food! Wings, fries, steak, meatballs, guacamole and wine. ask for extra! It’s so good! service was freaking incredible. Kaitlyn, the host, monze, Anthony and Cathy all were awesome. Kaitlyn served us all night and was super nice and friendly. The steak was the best steak I’ve eaten yet. On par with Ruth’s Chris, ifykyk. 10/10 my new favorite spot. Perfect birthday celebration!

Wonderful experience. Very thankful for accommodating us to sit inside. It was pretty cold last night. The food, the Dia de Muertos menu was amazing. Probably the best Mole we’ve ever had. thanks again!
