   our waiter was excellent, and the food was great. There were a lot of people so service wasn't as fast but expected with that many people there on a Saturday evening. the bloody marys were supurb too

   We hadn't been here in many years. We were pleased with our experience, our waiter Jeff was pleasant and responsive to our needs. We will return based on our positive experience!

   Waited at bar well past reservation time. Could have ate at the bar but that wasn't the experience we were looking for. Service was slow. Waiter disappeared for long stretches. Entrees were good but they did not require long preparation time (prime rib and bolognaise pasta are slow-cooked). Pasta was good but the medium rib was much past medium well. I know it's not fast food but three hours for a Sunday night dinner was quite excessive. Total bill was +$200 with tip. Not really what we were expecting... probably should have ordered at the bar.

   I have dined at Italian Prime several times over the past couple of years and consider it to be one of the nicer fine dining restaurants in WNY. Tonight we were celebrating our 14 year old grandson's birthday; we wanted to make it special. While the fine dining approach is present; there are areas that need improvement. The food in my opinion is average; there really was nothing over the top. The presentation is classic and just ok. The prices are extremely high for the product you are receiving. I feel the prices of the food are almost double what they should be for the market. I do not see myself planning to reserve for dinner there again anytime soon. I did not feel as if the waiter actually knew the wine list. He was mediocre at best in his service. While this is a classic staple restaurant in WNY; they should consider some menu and price changes. Perhaps this is a place for those that like the classics; I have finally realized it is not for me.They have tried to reinvent themselves with Perla; the seafood oyster bar within the complex; they need to also reinvent the classic restaurant.

    We went here on a slow Wednesday night. Took our daughter for her first "fancy restaurant" experience, and we left underwhelmed. Service was ok. For appetizer, I was delivered a bowl of beef broth and cheese for french onion soup. Our waiter apologized, and stated there was training taking place in the back and it must have been overlooked. I waited close to 30 mins for the next bowl of soup, much better. Our daughter ordered ravioli - It appeared and tasted like the frozen ravioli you could buy at a grocery store for $4 - at a cost of $25, which seemed pretty steep for a price. I ordered Lasagna, and it was nothing special (sauce was REALLY sweet). My wife ordered the bolognese. She said it was good, but she had stomach issues the rest of the night. $18 for an adult beverage seems high (pineapple juice / coconut rum / white rum). We were hoping for a better experience, 3 courses took a little more than 2 hours. We were not offered coffee, or a look at the desert menu for our daughter. Based on the experience, we would not go back.
