   Absolutely outstanding Service and Dining! With the Chef coming out to mingle with his guests. It really showed how much passion he has for his Art. I recommend this fine Dining experience. However, it can be extremely difficult to find, I suggest a Taxi.

   Amazing view and amazing experience all around. Our chef and host were very engaging and the food couldn’t have been better!

   If you travel to St. Thomas you must have dinner here. My wife and I both had the filet and it was the best steak dinner either one of us have ever had. The views are spectacular. The service is fantastic. The food was 10 out of 10. We stayed here at the hotel as well and we highly recommend staying at this hotel and having dinner here. Thanks for everything guys. We had a wonderful vacation and the dinner was our last night there and really topped off our trip.

   Absolutely worth the drive up the mountain. The views are spectacular and the food was amazing. For those of you who used to go to Island view when Ron and Beth owned it, this is a new and improved version. The menu is expanded and the steaks are still fantastic. But, now you have more than steak to choose from. I love that they kept the honor bar as that makes this place a little nostalgic. They even kept the “living room” which gives the restaurant a homey feel. The chef came to our table multiple times to check on us and to describe the food. The service was very good. You really need to try to donut for dessert! Best dessert we had on the island!

   Not a good experience at all. The first two items we ordered were not in stock. One was bread. Seriously. They offer pizza yet couldn’t make bread…. The place has maybe 1/2 dozen tables total and they ran out of bread at 7 pm The 6 oz small filet was not in stock so we were forced to order the 8 oz Food was mediocre at best. The steak wasn’t bad, just not very good. The fish came raw and was taken off the bill. Bar is self serve using poker chips as currency to show what you ordered. Mixed drinks are $12. There is no option for a non mixed drink so you get to pay the same $12 for it if you just pour it straight. All this on top of the fact that it’s nearly impossible to find. A lighted sign might have helped, but that was not to be. We wanted to like this place but that wasn’t happening. I hope your experience is better than ours.

   Mr Jack Thank you for your review and honest feedback. So sorry your experience was not what you or I had hoped for. I will work extremely hard to make sure the mistakes you spoke about do not happen again. Please note that we have 3 signs on our 2 driveways that have lights and clearly state our location for guests. Our goal is food and hospitality at its highest level and strive everyday to attain those goals. Your concerns are heartfelt and we will do better.    Despite the recent good reviews, we received absolutely terrible treatment from the chef, frankly it was one of the worst evenings dining out I can remember. I suspect the chef's pedigree is fake, and highly do not recommend.

   Peter Thank you for a false review that has absolutely zero facts at all. But I respectfully must clear up.. You ordered a steak medium rare that was perfectly cooked and you complained that it was very overcooked. With the dark lighting in the restaurant not allowing you to truly see the temperature of the steak, I graciously invited you into the kitchen so we could view the meat together under our bright lights. As with all of our guests, I will happily cook items again and replace if said guest is not happy. You viewed the steak in the kitchen and admitted it was perfectly medium rare, but tough on the edges. I asked if that is how you wanted your new steak cooked, you said yes, so I happily obliged and you ate the whole thing and left happy. So I am confused..

   You know that feeling when you have such a superb experience that it is a true joy to write a positive review - just because you want to share it with others and see the restaurant succeed? That is this experience! We just had the most wonderful dinner at the Island View Steakhouse - everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the meal, from the brussels sprouts to the beautiful salads, perfect steaks and delicious lobster ravioli - and a cheesecake doughnut that will change your life for the better. The service was top notch - wonderful waitstaff, and we thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the chef and learning about the various dishes. If you have reservations somewhere else, cancel them and come here - you will be happy that you did.

    Excellent food & service. We were immediately greeted & seated. It is a small restaurant, so make reservations as early as possible. They have an honor bar which is unique. They also provide a 12 room bed & breakfast with a pool. You can see the island from the restaurant hence the name!
