   Our New Year’s Eve dinner was a great experience overall. It was a pre-fix menu so would’ve liked a few other options for the price. Our server Billy, and the rest of the staff were excellent. *we did not receive our champagne toast at midnight that was included in our $175 pp ticket. $1300 for 5 people.

   New Years pre-fixed dinner , way over priced! The restaurant is beautiful! Food is under whelming. Service was “meh”.

   Hands down the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had. Arrived on time for an 8pm reservation. We were sat at 8:25pm, along with a handful of other 8pm reservations. Zero management present to offer any kind of hospitality, explanation or apology. Remained patient because they were clearly short staffed and had zero guidance from management. Young host staff tried their best. Placed our entire order with the server all at once to make her life easier. Took another 30 minutes and multiple times asking before we got drinks. Glass of white wine was served warm. Apps arrived before drinks. Assistant manager attempted to rectify the issues but had zero clue how to interact with us or apologize. Came off as very passive aggressive. Tables that were sat 30 minutes after us had their entrees before we did so we left. The restaurant owners need to get involved and add more staff and training. Since they’re the only high end restaurant at the resort, that probably won’t happen.

   Fantastic experience! Our server was extremely helpful with recommendations and modifications for our kids. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and location on the water just perfect.

   We dined at Isla Blue for Christmas dinner as we were staying at the resort. Made a reservation, was told it was going to be a prix fixe menu for $125 a person but the menu looked good and the reviews were good so why not. Reservation was for 7:15 and we were seated about 7:10…restaurant was pretty full at this point. Took a little time to get drinks, no big deal, busy and we weren’t in a hurry. Ordered the meal, soup/salad, appetizer, meal, dessert. Soup finally came for me but they were out of soup spoons, a giant serving spoon was brought. I opted for a dessert spoon. Soup was good and I was starving at this point as it was almost 8. Appetizers didn’t arrive until about 8:30 and the oysters that I ordered were the tiniest oysters I’ve ever seen. They had also run out of the topper that was advertised. Honestly, they were inedible. Our poor waitress was a victim to the kitchen or the overbooking and was trying her best, there just wasn’t food coming out of the kitchen. At close to 9:00 I started looking for a manager about the food. She went to look and never came back. I found another manager because at this point I felt like I was being held hostage. They finally brought food out and the lobster was completely charred on the bottom of the shell so much so that there was black all over the plate and the lobster was not cooked or edible. My husband’s filet was not cooked at the correct temperature and looked to be about 4 oz…like they were running out and cutting in half to fill the orders. I sent the lobster back. Needless to say we skipped dessert and I fortunately had a protein bar in my room to tide me over since it was nearly 9:30 and the bar stopped serving food at 9. Oh and they automatically added 20% gratuity to the bill…20% and it was not stated on the menu or told to us. I just noticed it. Terribly expensive mistake in my opinion and I never leave reviews like this.

    Rough start to a Christmas prix fix dinner, as no server greeted us within 10 minutes, but once we were in touch with our server, things went great! Food was outstanding, albeit a bit long of a pause between courses. Things are tough these days in the service industry, as many of us are aware. I give them all credit for preserving through a busy evening fairly short-handed👍
