We dined from the Festive Menu which was extremely good value for money and the food was of excellent quality. The service was somewhat slow and staff showed disinterest once order was taken which was a pity considering the other positive factors.

A disappointing experience. Went to Isaac’s with a group of friends, one of whom is gluten intolerant. She notified the waitress as we walked over and asked for a gf menu. When we sat down the waitress handed her a several sheets of A4 stapled together with a ‘matrix’ on it and told her to look through the pages and work out which food she could eat. There was no offer to recommend appropriate dishes on the menu which is a disgrace. We ordered drinks and food- the food took over half an hour to arrive despite the restaurant being half empty. My fish burger was tasteless and the coleslaw was so bland I had to salt it to eat it. When the waitress brought our drinks over she handed them to one side of the table and asked us to pass them down- she made no effort to walk around the table of 6 and place them in front of each diner. We did not expect such a poor level of service from a restaurant at the Grand Hotel.

Good food , one of the waiter was friendly and chatty ( student studying computer science ) one of the waitress was a bit abrupt when speaking to us ,but over service was good . The only negative was the toilet paper in the loos was thin and cheap. One of the hand soap dispensers was broken in the female loo ,just don't expect these little oversights when the rest of the hotel is so well maintained ,the hotel also smells lovely . Would visit again .

Food was fairly basic. Nothing bad but nothing that would lead me to recommend it or want to go back.

Menu was not as advertised online and not a thing my wife could eat being gluten free. Decided to try elsewhere as everything on menu not any good for someone with intolerances.

Service was lacking, at no point did staff ask how the food was or asked if we was OK for drinks. We were given our meal and basically left to it. Steak was not cooked as requested. Will not be returning.

Food was bland, extremely disappointing. The Mac and cheese with brisket contained next to no brisket and tasted as though it was a ready meal. The burger was tasty, but cold. A real shame as the menu itself is amazing and the decor was superb, but ultimately the food let everything down.
