insideOUT is Hillcrest's elevated restaurant and lounge, and San Diego's only urban oasis! We are an 18+ venue.

    My first time at InsideOUT, definitely met my expectations. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Servers were attentive. Food was great. The holiday decor that they had was beautiful and it snowed at some point which made it even better. I was very happy they had mocktails and not overly expensive like other restaurants. I recommend this place for sure and will be going back.

    I knew the atrium was going to bring the holiday cheer but I did not expect to like my food so much. It was delicious! Would love to visit again to try some other dishes. Very pleasant staff and patient with people wandering around to take pictures.

    The Christmas cocktails were delicious and beautifully presented. The winter wonderland decor was amazing including real snowfall at times paired with the classic Christmas carol “let it snow” The brunch menu was delicious! Overall this was an amazing experience

    I am beyond satisfied with my experience. I had been waiting for a year for the chance to have this experience. So when I randomly caught an open reservation I had to take it. The food was amazing, the beef short rib was amazingly tender. I was honestly drawn to the ambience and was blown away. The snow falling at the top of the hour was a great addition. We walked the venue and took lots of pictures as well.

    Hostess first tried to seat us at what I consider a “coffee table” to eat. We gave her a big fat NO! I don’t pay good money to go out to eat off something I have to hunch over for. Menu options were limited. Need better selection of appetizers that can be shared and a few more entree selections. We were lucky enough to be under an umbrella when it snowed, but if I had been eating my dinner and foam was coming down in my food I wouldn’t have been thrilled. Waiter was great.

    You’re paying for the ambience. The paella was nasty, thankfully our server took it off of the bill & gave us a free dessert. I would still come back and try the brunch menu. Overall this isn’t a place I would be coming back to on a regular basis.

    The vibe and the decorations were really amazing. The cocktails were good! The waiters were amazing. However the food was not good. I got the vegetarian dish and it lacked any flavor. I would go back for the cocktails and the ambience.
