Having looked forward to this booking since I made it I found the food to be if excellent standard. If you expect the portion sizes you get at a run of the mill Indian restaurant you'll be disappointed. But just the right amount to feel satisfied. The only thing that let the whole experience down was the front of house. We arrived on time, and the first person we spoke to asked us to wait 5 minutes due to broken glass in the floor. Fine accidents happen. The second person, after 5 minutes, looked for our booking in their tablet, they pretended to look through the list, my name was top of the list, and pointed it out to them. Then I was told to wait another 5 minutes. We were the spoken to by another person, who claimed our table was not ready and asked if we could go get a drink at the bar and give them half an hour. I questioned this as there were clearly other tables free. And that server tried to give us a kind of you don't want to sit there kind of approach. Long story short the vibe given from the staff overall was of a we don't want you in our restaurant. But I was not allowing them to fob us off. Incidentally I'd like to point out that the original table we were asked to wait for, we're still eating when we left. We were told at the beginning they were just finishing their coffee!! A great meal ruined by discriminative front of house. Thankfully we were only visiting Birmingham and are unlikely to be back anytime soon. But based on the front of houses attitude, if ever in the city again, I'll happily take my custom elsewhere!

First visit. Made very welcome and the menu was explained fully to us before we ordered with helpful suggestions. When the food came, it was hot and tasty. The lamb was to die for.. This experience is highly recommended and we will definitely be going again.

This is a Gem in Birmingham, Azad and his team are peerless in how they treat you it's a pleasure turning up. The vibe is energetic and has a colonial members club vibe to the decor, then there is the food! The food is fresh with a completely contemporary twist on the Indian and Asian continent street food scene. My personal favorites are the Spiced Lamb Chops and Masala Fries, chicken 65, chilli chicken and the Cafe Racer wings, are to die for! The Raspberry Sorbet is the icing on the cake and the perfect finish to such a fantastic Meal.

One of the best Indian meals I’ve had - if not the best! Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the service, the quirky location. I’ll definitely be back for more!
