   Great service, excellent Italian food. Friendly atmosphere. Lasagna Romana and orecchiette were excellent. Salads are ample if you want to split one.

   Just love this place. Great wine, gnocchi dish excellent, poached pear salad very tasty. Staff very attentive, eclectic and reasonable prices!

   Outstanding Italian restaurant in Pacific Grove! Attentive service with a friendly attitude plus food to die for. The special on the night we dined will go down in infamy- Steakhouse Pasta. Al dente bucatini pasta with sliced filet mignon in a light tomato cream sauce. My husband had an amazing lamb ragout. We topped it off with an espresso and some dark sambuca. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!

   We waited 45 min after our reservation time with no apologies. Once we got to our table we waited 10 min for the waitress to approach the table. Normally I’ve had a good experience here and this was disappointing. Food and cocktails are very good.

   Il Vecchio is my favorite spot for traditional Italian cuisine on the Monterey Peninsula. One dish I always crave is the Caprese Burrata, which features creamy burrata, ripe, juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, micro basil (I always ask for extra), and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, complemented by balsamic pearls and grilled bread. Whether enjoyed as a starter or a light meal, the Caprese Burrata at Il Vecchio is an indulgent treat that transports you straight to Italy with every bite. Additionally, the staff are always delightful, making it a place where you always feel welcome!
