All the way from Sicily, Lino and Gregory moved to New York City bringing the best of the Southern Italian culinary tradition. Fourteen years after opening a Sicilian restaurant and concept store in Noto (Sicily), the idea of honouring the Grandmas traditions is what creates the philosophy of their hospitality at Il Melograno. This is truly one of my favorite places in all of New York. The service, food, and atmosphere exceed all expectations and most importantly, it is my mother’s favorite place to go to so the amount of wins here is enormous. It’s truly a special place.

Lovely little neighborhood Italian local. Not a ton of “comfort” dishes but a nice variety. Chicken Milanese being the exception, very good. But not a red sauce joint. Bruschetta was well proportioned, house pino Grigio very cold and delicious. Sausage and peas Risotto special was under-seasoned for our taste and unremarkable to look at, but salt pepper and lemon brought it to life. Worth the trip to 10th Ave if you’re looking for something less trashy and more homey than what’s on 9th Ave.

Great meal. Everything was perfect. This place is quality over quantity. Octopus is delicious and so was potato kale soup. Pastas are fabulous. Service and ambience perfect. Highly recommend. Make reservations (small place and very busy) .

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Il Melograno. We had a reservation and were seated on time. The owner was our waiter. He was welcoming, answered all our questions about the menu, specials and wine list. The food was delicious. My wife had the salmon which was perfectly prepared and served over a cauliflower purée. I had the orchetti in a sauce with peas, broccolini. When we were finished with our meal, we had a chance to talk to the owner and tell him how much we enjoyed the experience. He shared the history of the restaurant with us as well as his early life experiences in Sicily. I recommend Il Melograno to anyone looking for great food, a nice atmosphere and a welcoming staff.

My go to place whenever I am in the city! Started with an Aperol Spritz (as good as any I’ve had in Italy) and ended with a Limoncello (so smooth). We had the Chicken Milanese and the Veal Ravioli, both delicious! Lino, as always, the most gracious host! Can’t wait to go back!

Il Melograno is an absolutely incredible neighborhood restaurant with exceptional appetizers, entrees, cocktails, wines, desserts and the service is amazing. We have been eating there since we moved to NYC 12 years ago and every time we have the most amazing meals. We've brought many friends and family members there over the years and they all love this restaurant. I have to give a special mention to our server Jose who took care of us this past Sunday. He is so friendly and made a fabulous suggestion for a bottle of wine that perfectly paired with our meal. The octopus appetizer is one of our favorites and it was so good, and the pappardelle pasta is perfection. We can't wait to go back again. Il Melograno is without a doubt one of the Best Italian restaurants in all of New York. 5 stars all the way!!!

Il Melograno has been our "go to" for all Hell's Kitchen, Broadway and Irish Arts Center performances and events for many years. We never go anywhere else. A one-of-a-kind superb dining experience. All of our friends rave about it.
