   This is the second Tuesday in a row where or group has spent almost $800 in two a weeks on two seperate birthday occasions. Both nights happen to be Tuesdays which is all day happy hour. Last night we realized after coming home that we were charged full price for our pizzas that were from the happy hour menu. Based on our bill total we assume we were charged full price last week also but hadn’t noticed. We returned to the restaurant to inquire (as no one was answering the phone). The manager on duty was far from helpful only handing the menu stating “vegan pizzas are $4 more each”. To our surprise, we don’t recall seeing this listed anywhere on the happy hour menu, being told by our server or any reference to “exclusions apply” with regards to all day happy hour 2 weeks in a row. After further discussion and support from the lovely Bartender, it was agreed to refund $50 on our almost $400 bill. Rather disappointing that we were met with such resistance to being overcharged on our bill and left us wondering how many others just assume the total is right and pay the full price. We’ve come to love IL Fornello and the food but we will certainly be watching our cheque more closely in the future.

   Always so delicious and wonderful service. Free parking and great drinks. Perfect spot to meet up with friends or have a beautiful family dinner.

   Il Fornello has continued to refine the restaurant since opening. It's now become a top choice for a nice evening out to either unwind from the week or celebrate an event. Great client experience.

   made reservation but when we got there, restaurant was completely full. hostess lied to us and said they were just "cleaning tables" and asked us to wait at the bar. 15 minutes later we see a couple leave their table and we were seated a few minutes later. don't mind waiting but don't appreciate being lied to. hostess should have just apologized for not having our table available at our reservation time and offered maybe a comp appetizer or something. poor training, bad decision. otherwise, experience was good, food was very good.

   The menu is very restrictive for a chain like Il Fornello. I asked to substitute pasta for the potatoes on my Veal order and they wanted to upcharge me $10. The amount of pasta you would normally get would cost 36 cents. My wife's Pasta was verging on raw and tastless. She did not ask for a refund but the server made the decision to take it off the bill. Thank heavens she did not ask the cook. The server was the most positive thing about the place. Oh and the wine was very good, Chenin Blance from South Africa

    Il Fornello is a wonderful addition to the Sherwood Village Mall, with the Rally now open I will be here often. Enthusiastic staff, great food, they are working hard to deliver what I’ve come to expect from Il Fornello over the last 30+ years downtown and Oakville. They’ve worked hard to “get it right” since opening this past summer. I will too often be picky about a few things: tonight it’s the chill air that can blow into the front room; and the wrong tools to go with the well prepared lobster that accompanied delicious spaghetti (needed a lobster fork & I think it was a walnut cracker provided to crack the lobster shell). Easy parking out front and with close proximity to the QEW some of my Toronto friends should be crossing the 427 for some pickleball (Rally) and lunch or dinner afterwards!

    Thank you for the review and feedback. You will be happy to hear we have addressed the air flow into the front area and is now nice and toasty at all times with no breeze! I can definitely appreciate needing the right tools. Crackers- walnut/ crab/lobster are all very much the same, however we can definitely look into the forks.
