   I went to the restaurant days before my reservation to confirm we could get a specific small quiet room for a dinner birthday party of 8 people. When we arrived, the manager ignored my request and gave us a noisy table in the middle of the restaurant. The wait staff was not very attentive. I brought in a $300 gift certificate they would not honor. Not what i expected for $500.

   Service was hurried and inattentive…the server was never there and when he showed up, he wanted to leave. I’ve eaten there many times but lately everyone is going through the motions….

   Don't usually leave reviews, but feel like it's necessary in this case. Positives - server was pleasant. The negatives - main room was cold because they had expanded the restaurant for additional seating without adequate heating, server didn't arrive for a while, didn't bring water well into the meal and only after being asked, when asked to bring separate plates to share a prime rib, brought tiny plates, bread to the table has to be asked and not free, and most importantly the steak was very rare when asked for medium. They ended up comping the steak, so 1 star up for that. But my goodness, this is a subpar restaurant. Looks very nice from the outside, but the inside service/food is 2/4 equivalent. So, if you set your expectations right, it'll be a good experience, but don't go in expecting a 3/4 experience.

   We had a great Valentines dinner. The waiter was friendly and provided great service and the food was delicious as usual. Highly recommended.

   Calzone is normally served cold on the inside but we asked for it warmed up. Fortunately the waiter complied but he emphasized it was an exception.

   we went to try out their special menu. a big gran padano wheel greeted us in the entry area, from which we were served fresh from the wheel cheese. it was a nice touch. one entree tasted off so we sent it back. the other, a sausage and radicchio lasagna was quite good, but both dishes were lukewarm - either hadn’t been heated properly or sat too long, waiting to be served. the restaurant was packed and it took a long time to get our order. would i hurry back? definitely no. this used to be a go to favorite for me, but I find their regular menu in need of refreshing and it is quite disappointing to be served lukewarm food. we could have sent it back but then would have faced even a longer wait.

    This was a perfect venue for a SIXTOP communal dinner -- great food, lively atmosphere, and friendly service.
