   We are from the states & we were excited to visit Icebergs for dinner. The view was stunning. However, the food & service were just okay. The menu used inflated vocabulary that made it difficult to understand what we were receiving. The waiter’s descriptions were weak. We have been to many a French restaurant as well as Michelin star restaurants so our opinions are not due to ignorance. Also, our main entrees took a long time to be delivered. All in all, we felt the restaurant was overrated. A lot of room for improvement.

   Nice venue with spectacular vista. Services were acceptable although it was a very busy night. Food quality was average. Worth a try if you haven’t been, but not a place I would return repeatedly.

   Wonderful location to dine at. Overlooking the waters out at Bondi. Got to see a glimpse of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race in the distance. We were initially seated at a table of two which faced each other near the pathway but were then moved to a comfortable position which looked straight out into the water. The interior was cool in comparison to the hot outdoors and windows were left open where a gentle sea breeze that drafted through felt refreshing. Amongst the dishes, the octopus salad was certainly the most intriguing and had a delectable taste. No element of the dish overpowered the other and tastes all melted together with an octopus that was cooked extremely well so was not rubbery like overcooked molluscs. A little steep in terms of costs but a great dining location and was a lovely location for a date.

   The food and view was amazing! The menu was a bit confusing a there were 2 and 3 course meals or specials. Service was excellent ok. Wine selection was very nice and sommalier was excellent.

   We were disappointed with the allocated table-at the back, next to a servery, one of the party of 3 had to sit with their back to the view. We were informed tables were allocated as per how early booked, I booked 21st Oct, virtually 2 mths prior. It was remedied after we’d eaten as I asked if we could have a post lunch drink outside. Wonderful, all 3 of us had the view. Food, service was superb.

   I ordered fish. Wasn’t cooked through. Centre was jelly-like. Fairly tasteless choice of fish regardless. I didn’t raise with server just left it as it was a special occasion and didn’t want to draw attention. Very nice people but food is blaaaaah.

    Waiter forgot to order our sides. Since we had finished our mains before getting them we asked to cancel them. Errors happen and we appreciate the fact that our waiter didn’t try to blame it on someone else and simply explain he had forgotten to order them. Good was very good and the view is always amazing. This little incident will not prevent me from going back.
