Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over Enjoy the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. An extensive wine list, classic cocktail list and selection of impressive signature desserts accompany the menu of fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Beautiful private dining and events spaces available. Gluten-free and vegan options available. Happy Hour Sun-Thurs, 3-6pm.

    We loved the food and had a wonderful time. Our only complaint would be that we were in the back room in a booth and the two guys were very uncomfortable. The booth was to small. Not enough room between the back seat and the table. Both guy are average size. Not sure this is something g that you can fix. But without that I would have given a 5

    Great food options from apps through entrees to dessert. Drinks were top notch, food staff was quick and knowledgeable. Best frog legs I’ve ever had!

    Perhaps it is not a good idea to judge a restaurant on a Saturday night. We usually love Hugo's, but the service was a little uneven on 01/04/2025. The food was excellent as usual. We had steaks and mashed potatoes and oysters and wedge salads, and they were all wonderful. And the bus boys were very attentive as they refilled our water glasses many times and cleared our dishes quickly and professionally. Our waiter was over-taxed last night and didn't check on us much. He didn't come over to our table until we were already seated for 15 minutes. We will definitely come back to Hugo's, but probably not on a Saturday night.

    Food was very good and portions were quite adequate. Too many tables jammed in small space. Service was very good until it was time to pick up and run the credit card. This part took much too long.

    Love this place, my wife and I come here all the time. The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. Pricing has increased in the past year but the food and service are still great.
