   both business or family dining. Plenty of spaces but this is probably also one of the downfall as there isn’t enough staff to serve all the tables. The yumcha food are quite nice. Particularly like the taro with black truffle. The signature peking duck is a big let down though especially when everyone is rating it so high. The skin is too dry and the meat is tough. They use the normal duck with not much fat.. very disappointing. A normal duck from Pacific House would be 10 times better in fact! Service wise, We sat in the VIP1 room, it’s very hot, and no one came in to serve at all. We were literally shown the room and asked to order via QR code and then literally no one attended to even ask if everything is fine or if there is anything they can help with. We need to go out find a waiter to ask for additional chopsticks, we had to go out to ask if they have chinese tea, no one came in to refill the tea afterwards. For a place that charges such high prices, would have expected a better service.. Anyway, would not recommend.. there are better places for peking duck but the dimsums are fine if you are fine with higher prices and lack of service.

   What a great place. Funky layout that’s interesting & fun. Prompt service with very generous servings. Under order as you’ll have way too much. Food is top quality too. Really enjoyed it.

   Food was very good. Really bad table service. Only 90 min seating and before you know it the manager comes and tells you to hurry up. Not much of mannerisms or courtesy. Quite rude actually. Makes the night rather unpleasant.

   My husband and I had a meal here for our anniversary. It has become an anniversary tradition for us to have Peking Duck, as part of our celebrations and have been to different restaurants in Beijing, London, and all around Melbourne to enjoy this dish. We felt the Peking Duck set meal at Hua Lu was one of the best we’ve had anywhere in the world- including the many different restaurants where we had this dish in Beijing. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

   This was my second Birthday I've spent with loved ones at Hua Lu and as always it was fantastic. The Peking duck was divine and all of the other dishes we shared were incredible also. The staff were friendly and helpful and the venue gives the perfect mix of elegance and comfort. I'd love to see some mocktails on the venue for those who don't drink alcohol. This is going to become a yearly Birthday tradition I'm sure. 😊

   1) We ordered drinks and they didn't have SO MANY things. Not just talking alcoholic but non-alcoholic. Like it is a restaurant how do you not have more than 50% of menu items. 2) We asked for spoons 4 times to 4 different people. Waited so long for it. 3) My friend accidentally knocked her water but the waiter was rude by asking if she was drunk. 4) Servers were not friendly at all and so eager to clear our plates. We WERE NOT even finished. There was literally food left on the plate and they wanted to clear it.

   The catering products are pretty good, among which the boiled fish is relatively delicious. However, it may be due to the first day of the Lunar New Year that there are more customers, and the service needs to be further improved.

    While the food was generally still tasty, I found the quality has decreased a bit - like the Peking duck not as crispy as before. The overall ambience has also cheapened with the plastic table cloths and service was not great. It was hard to get waiters attention and also they weren’t very friendly or helpful.
