   Excellent restaurant with delicious food! Cocktails were good, not great. The mocktail was too sweet and overpriced. Wine selection was very good, not overwhelming and both red and white offerings paired well with the main courses. Service was good, attentive and friendly wait staff. Overall a good value.

   I recently visited house 157 for brunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. The ambience initially seem inviting with decor that set the tone for a relaxed meal. We started our visit with mimosas, which were refreshing and added a nice touch to the brunch spot however, as we settled in the music, volume became a significant issue it was overwhelmingly Loud, making it difficult for us to engage in conversation. We find our self practically shouting to hear each other across the table, I requested to be moved to a quieter area and while that did help initially, the noise level increased again, making it hard to enjoy the moment as for the food I ordered the shrimp and grits, which I had high hopes for, but unfortunately, I’ve had better for the price point. I expected a more flavorful dish that would truly impress overall I believe house 157 has great potential however they need to recognize a brunch is meant for conversation relaxation rather than in a club like atmosphere, if they can find a balance with the music and enhance their menu, this place should be a stand out brunch destination for now, though I left feeling disappointed and not likely to return anytime soon

   Dined here for Valentine’s dinner. The ambience was amazing, food amazing and the live DJ was exceptional . Loved every bit of it. I also love the new picturesque hallway . Amazing

   Food, ambiance, music and service was great. My only feedback is if you are charging 120pp plus gratuity and also expect a tip for Valentine’s Day you can give more than two Mac cheese balls as a starter. But over all a great place to dine.

   My dining experience was 10/10. I initially don’t even want to go out for V-day because I was not in the mood to deal with long lines and crowds. However. I was told a reservation was made and I would not have to wait, we traveled an hour to the location, pulled up to Valet parking… ready and friendly service. We walked in and was kindly greeted by the host, she was polite and knowledgeable of the menu. She checked us in and with no waiting we were seated, initially I was a little nervous about the seating arrangement (we sat on high tops at the bar) however, I told my fiancé… it’s really the best seat in the house. My waitress came over at a punctual timing, informed us again about the menu, took our drink orders and shared some water for us. The remainder of the evening was magical.. we had crab cakes and beef kabobs for appetizers, shrimp pasta and short rib for entree and churro and square bite (phenomenal if you are lactose, I am!!) for dessert. The blessed us with complimentary champagne upon sitting down(this was a package deal with the V-day menu) it was very good( I was afraid it was going to be cheap and bitter… far from) the drink were top tier, I loved that the waitress has a chance to taste the food and drinks prior to that night so that she could give her opinion on recommendations. This was such a help when making decisions on the drinks.. ( That Dusse HIT!!) ohhhhh, before I forget the music selection and then the live DJ… AMAZING!!! I have never been to this restaurant on a regular night however, I look forward to going there for a regular date night, it really impressed me.

    It was a busy night, so the service wasn't great as our waiter had multiple tables. We had to get up a few times to get his attention. I don't know if that is an excuse but that's what we were told.... We order multiple appetizers calamari, Asian wings, crab cakes, coconut shrimp and chicken empanadas. The crab cakes were okay, but I had to send them back because they were cold. Calamari was delicious, empanadas were okay (I had better) and the wings were mediocre. I don't like coconuts, so I didn't try them. My drink was very good I had the D'usse side car (it took 20 minutes to get but it was good). Everyone enjoyed their drinks. My entree I had the oxtails (they were tasty but tough) they need to let them cook slower for longer to get tender. That Red Snapper was fire (I highly recommend)! I do recommend it. Lamb chops were good, but the Salmon was bland and a bit on the dry side. The energy in the room was amazing (a DJ was present) I am not sure if the DJ is there often. Overall had a great time, but I wish I had better service! Oh, to top it off the gratuity is included and starts at 18% but he wasn't worth that!
