Cool, and simple interior. The food topped expectations for us; however, it does have a southern tilt (e.g. grits, biscuits, etc.), so if that is not your thing, you may enjoy it less. Doesn’t try to be anything it’s not and is priced accordingly - more modest than many other Highlands restaurants. We would recommend.

We had the pork chop and the elk....both were absolutely delicious - cooked perfectly and yummy accompanying sides. Kudos for the new owners for respecting the heritage of the Joe Webb log cabin and maintaining its special feeling. Our server Ashley was great but the hostess a bit mechanical.....I'll never understand the way restaurants decide to sit reservations but we had a poorly placed table next to the restrooms and the walkway to more desirable seating but the hostess did not offer a different option when we expressed concern. The manager was helpful when we left behind an item. We are full time residents and will definitely go back.

Our dinner was delicious!!! It seems every time we dine at Highlands Super Club we enjoy a delicious meal. Our only disappointment was their steak tartare was not on the menu tonight! Being a year rounder here in Highlands we hope this Superior appetizer will find its way onto their fixed menu!!!

Thank you, Jerry, I will talk to Chef about adding this on to the menu, one of my favorites too! Thank you for your review!

Our first visit to HSC. We were joined by another couple. The ambiance is fantastic. Can’t wait to come back when it is a little warmer. We ordered our drinks and then two orders of the grilled oysters. Very disappointing. Not even sure if they were oysters, seemed more like very, very small clams. Literally about the size of a postage stamp. Interesting ingredients but for $18, was expecting substantially larger oysters. The Wagu Bavette was not available but was substituted by a 12 oz ribeye. I had the pecan encrusted trout which was excellent; the seasoning was spectacular and the trout was perfectly cooked along with the cut potatoes. Two of our party ordered the ribeye. They were both terrible. The cut of meat was of the lowest grade, full of grizzle and too much fat. We should have sent them back but didn’t want to create a scene, but for $55, they were unbelievably disappointing. Our waiter started off with great service but then must have gotten too busy and we hardly saw him. Finally, he asked how we wanted the check split, told him but it came back completely wrong. We understand they are at the beginning stages so we will most definitely come back again.
