Fantastic service and outstanding food. Best place I've been to by far in Northampton. I'm a hair dresser in town myself and told all my clients how brilliant it was. Can't wait to go back. Friends came to the meal from Milton Keynes and they said they would go back and travel again just to go again. Little hard to find but think that's a good thing little hide away. Was my boyfriends birthday and he was well impressed. Big thank you.

Still the best place in town for a night out, unforgettable experience involving exotics steaks, the best cocktails made by the best cocktail wizards working there! P.s. And yes, I am a genuine customer, please verify me if you d like to :)

We ate, and that is an experience all to itself, but I was pleased to see the standard of Cocktail service not just the Bartender preparing, but also the waiters skill in recommending and upselling. The food was tasty and it's always good to try something new, overall a great experience, and I'll be visiting again shortly for Cocktails. Thank You

Despite an extremely good reputation, H&T on the most part remains hidden to most people in the town, which is part of its magic - I took people here for a special occasion and the hidden entrance sets diners up for intrigue. Perfect place to take a date, hold a small party, or someone who you wish to impress. Food and cocktails are all top notch, the latter probably the best in town, and the former - H&T is the only place in town which serves the particular items it does in the way that it does. Ensure you have your adventure hat on when you go - going for the same old thing is a wasted opportunity in a restaurant of this quality.

Another great evening, excellent food and cocktails. A slightly earlier booking so not to have a late night, but ended up moving to the bar for more cocktails...!

Cannot fault. I love steak but I have NEVER had a better steak than here. I could have cut it with a butter knife!! Staff extra knowledgeable, friendly, speedy etc etc Booked again for next week, my favourite place!!!

This was my 3rd visit and I have to say, it just keeps getting better. From the moment my wife and I arrived, staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. The dining room/bar area is nicely spaced out so even on a busy night, you've not really got another table unreasonably close. The food is great. The steaks are amazing and the cooking on the hot stones just adds to the experience, you're involved in your meal! As for the cocktail menu - the hardest part is choosing what you're going to have but you know that no matter what you go for, it's going to be perfect. These are grown-up cocktails and they're simply awesome. Service is obviously important to the team and nothing is too much trouble. And if you can't decide which drink you should go for, the knowledgeable team will help you reach a decision by discussing your preferences. We'll definitely be going back....

We wanted something a bit different and we found it at Haycock & Tailbar would not hesitate to recommend as the food was fantastic. If you like your meat than this the place to go as for the cocktails well....all I can say is lots to choose from so book a taxi for the night cause you can't fail to try a couple or more!!!

If you fancy trying something different then this is the place. Low level lighting helps to create a good ambiance. All staff very friendly and you're made to feel very welcome. Extensive range of delicious cocktails to choose from. A wide range of unusual meats on offer, we tried kangaroo and ostrich. You cook on a hot stone on the table. You should also try the crickets, nutty kind of flavour we enjoyed them 😀

Disappointing evening last night , after being embarrassed when you couldn't find my reservation on your system on arrival (despite me having my email ) we were then served a bottle of red with a blatantly huge amount of sediment at the bottom of it , after advising the waitress this wasn't right and being offered some lame excuses , I was the one who had to insist I wasn't paying for it . Shame you couldn't have just offered that and taken the issue up with your supplier instead of me ! Can't imagine we will be returning or recommending !
