For the first time since opening in June 1914, the Fairmont Palliser’s Gold Floor invites the public for an elevated Stampede cocktail experience called Hawthorn Upstairs, from July 3 to July 18. The luxurious Gold Lounge is typically only accessible for private guests, from royalty to dignitaries, and features a newly renovated private bar and seating area with incredible views of downtown Calgary. The space is rich with historic architecture and stunning art pieces that highlight Alberta’s Western spirit. This Stampede experience will include locally sourced cocktails in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Alberta Distillers, paired with Hawthorn's sharing-style appetizers made with farm-fresh ingredients. Hawthorn Upstairs will be open for walk-ins and reservations from 5 p.m. with nightly live music every night from 7pm till 10 pm
