This used to be a neighborhood favorite. Sorry to say this place has gone downhill. It is still a fun place focusing on a younger crowd and NOT for foodies anymore. Details: 1. Can’t go too wrong with the grilled foods part except that they didn’t change the grill in the middle (to remove charred remains); 2. Signature dish “Stone bowl” garlic (udon) noodles was a disaster. Usually it comes out early in the meal because the hot bowl does half of the cooking. In this case they “ran out of stone bowls” for all three order yet served it anyway. The dish came out at the end of the meal because they presumably tried to pan fry it. All four diners agreed it was a let down.

We had a fantastic time dining at Guy-Kaku to celebrate our son's birthday. Our server, Britney made the experience all the more enjoyable. She was attentive and helped us easily navigate the grill. The food was delicious and marinated very well with great flavor.
