I visited Guy-Kaku Japanese BBQ, and while the food/service was, my experience was negatively impacted by the seating arrangement. Unfortunately, we were seated near the restroom, which had a noticeable plumbing issue. The smell was quite unpleasant and made it difficult to enjoy our time there. I understand that maintenance problems can happen, but this issue seemed severe enough to affect the overall atmosphere. I hope management addresses this promptly to improve the experience for future guests.

Great overall experience. Service was very slow when it came to refilling drinks (alcoholic and sodas) and when it came time for the check. It was a great environment for a big group of older teens and parents.

This used to be a neighborhood favorite. Sorry to say this place has gone downhill. It is still a fun place focusing on a younger crowd and NOT for foodies anymore. Details: 1. Can’t go too wrong with the grilled foods part except that they didn’t change the grill in the middle (to remove charred remains); 2. Signature dish “Stone bowl” garlic (udon) noodles was a disaster. Usually it comes out early in the meal because the hot bowl does half of the cooking. In this case they “ran out of stone bowls” for all three order yet served it anyway. The dish came out at the end of the meal because they presumably tried to pan fry it. All four diners agreed it was a let down.
