We really enjoyed our visit. Our server, Ana, probably the best server we've ever had. Even though she was working the whole floor, we honestly felt like she was our own personal server. Very charming. Very knowledgeable about all the different brews and was even able to recommend exactly which ones to pair with certain types of food. She also took the time to discuss all the other options on tap that we didn't choose and even offered us a few samples to try. As a result we tried other beers therefore staying longer than we anticipated. I hope Guinness recognize the assest they have in Ana. As for the venue.... we liked it. However, I don't understand why they don't open it to the public to just walk in. It's such a hassle to try and book and then stick to that time. Also, the atmosphere reflected exactly that. The place was half empty for most of our stay which was a shame because I've been trying to visit for months (I live abroad but return home every few months) so it was kind of frustrating as it's been such an effort to book a table when home. I know Guinness don't need the money and that this side of the brewery is experimental but just commit to it and open it up to the public without having to book. It would be busier more often and as a result would have a better atmosphere. The Christmas Toastie sandwich was delicious. Well done to whoever came up with that recipe. Perfect. To conclude... Ana needs to be recognized for her very obvious passion she holds for Guinness. Don't waste that. You often hear about what incredible employers Guinness were back in the day and how jobs were multi generational. A job for life they would say. I don't hear that about modern day employees. We'll be back.... Thanks

Booked a table for four and I was the first there. Hostess was really welcoming and friendly. Next person along I got talking about brewing and beer. Needed out on 90 shilling and Arthur's Last Ale. Great drink and food. Would recommend. My 4th Christmas in a row and each year gets better.

Great experience! The place is lovely and the beer selection is amazing. Beers are rotational, so every time we go to OGB, there’s something new and exciting to try. Arthur’s Last Ale and Antwerpen Stout absolutely delish. Shout out to Marco, Davey and Antonio for the great service! Thank you guys so much for your attention.

The renovation is nice, but I miss the somewhat rugged place it used to be when Open Gate started.

Great, fun experience. Food is only small plates, but excellent quality- and ideal for snacking on. Staff were exceptionally nice, and overall we had a really good time.

This place has changed for the worse, I have been going to this place since they open years ago and they just renovated it, sadly the food menu has shrank, only finger food now in super tiny portions and more expensive, its not a place to get proper food anymore with good beers, no more guiness burgers, and also the service its not as it used to, now you have to go to the bar and order there , seems they wanna save costs on waiters, increase the price on food and reduce the quality, probably i wont come back
