Breakfast, lunch, dinner, noshes and cocktails. Located in the Hotel La Rose, Grossman's offers Mark Stark's inspired take on Jewish cuisine from the East Coast to Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Guests can enjoy the outdoor seating area, order at the deli counter, pick up a grab 'n go meal or baked goods like Bagels, Babka, Black & White Cookies, Rugelach, Challah and Rye Bread from the in-house bakery. Come in, call in, or order online for takeout. Lox, Corned Beef, Pastrami, Full Sour Pickles, Falafel and many other delicacies are made in house based on family recipes. We have a small retail area with Jewish specialty items like Halva, Matzoh Chips and Crackers and hard to find condiments.

The best lox, shmear and bagels you will have. I could not stop thinking about my Lox plate for breakfast, so we stopped by the next morning on our way back to Marin to grab some to go. Service was really good, and we loved the vibe. We will be back!

We had a 5:30 reservation. When we arrived, we were informed we had to be done with dinner at 6:45 because the table was booked for another reservation. I wasn't informed of this when we made the reservation. We ordered drinks, and one of the wine glasses still had lipstick marks on it. The service is odd and slow. The waiter who took our food and wine orders never returned to the table. We fiinally had to ask another server to bring another glass of wine. The food order took awhile, and at about 6:35, after we'd ordered dessert, we were reminded we needed to clear the table. After another discussion, we were allowed to have dessert at the bar, and then very quickly issued our bill. We intended to order more drinks at the bar, but it was obvious we were not welcome to stay. We won't be back at Grossman's or any of the other restaurants this chain owns.

My husband and I had a reservation for 1:30PM on a Saturday. It was PERFECT. We arrived a bit early and were guided to our outside table at 1:30PM on the dot. Our table was exactly the one I would have chosen. A cozy and perfectly sized picnic table blocking the direct sunlight by an overhead umbrella! The staff brought water right away and our server promptly asked if we would like additional beverages. I asked for an Arnold Palmer, and my babe ordered a pilsner. Both were refreshing and crisp for a pre-spring outing. We ordered The Big Piece of Chicken which was kindly split for us and was divine! Kreplach, ramen, light and airy matzoh balls in a well-seasoned chicken broth with carrot, celery, dill with juicy chicken breast. We shared the Smoked & Pickled Fish Board. This is something I dream of. My babe was trepidatious at first, however: he loved it! House made kippered salmon, lox, mackerel, pickled herring, salmon rillettes, and a basket with challah, light rye bread & matzoh all made in house. By this time, we are getting quite full and thankful we decided to split everything. Our server knew that and agreed to stagger the order. We finished our meal with a corned beef Ruben. We shared it and again, this was one of the best sandwiches we'd ever eaten. The marble rye was toasted on both sides. Just enough corned beef and 'kraut. The Russian dressing was homemade and not too seasoned or too much. It was 'just right.' We really wanted dessert, we really wanted the Strauss soft serve, but alas; there was no room left. We opted to take home some black and white cookies (1/2 moons as I call 'em), hamantaschen (apricot and blackberry), chocolate rugalach and cinnamon sugar rugalach. I must say the blackberry hamantaschen is thick and scrumptious. The 1/2 moon cookie is the best one I've ever had. Fresh buttercream and just enough lemon in the cookie to notice but not too OTT. Service was A++, ambience A++, FOOD A+++++. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you!

Always love the atmosphere and food here, hummus and artichokes are my absolute favorites. Sat outside, it was windy, just the sound of traffic and the train going by. My server wasn’t too thrilled it seemed she was tired or “over it” but regardless she did an exceptional job and I still appreciate it.
