   Fantastic restaurant in downtown San Diego A group of us had dinner in the private room, inside the wine cellar and we had a blast. Japanese Wagyu melts in your mouth, great Winelist and Chilean seabass was delicious The service was excellent as well

   I went for Christmas Eve dinner with friends. I had called a few days prior to confirm there was a pre-fixe menu for the 24th to which a staff member told me there would be. When we arrived no pre-fixe, was told it would be the 25th only. Our server was a bit all over the place, not someone I’d expect at a “fine” steakhouse in the Gaslamp. Half the table got the salmon which was cooked to my liking with crisp edges, but the other half had to send back their steaks for being overcooked or cold. 3 of us were drinking 3 different types of red wine which all got mixed up. The pours were also kind of messy (wine dripping down the side of the glass or onto the white table cloth) which again I wouldn’t expect at a place of “fine dining”. Overall I think this is just another tourist trap downtown, I wouldn’t go again.

   So disappointed. We were really looking forward to this as our Christmas Eve dinner. 3 out 5 of our meals were overcooked. Got our food and we’re never checked in with again. Poor service and food quality was very disappointing.

   The food was great but service was average at best for fine dining. When we were seated, the chair had a lot of food and you could tell it was sitting for a while. Instead of cleaning it, they sat us at another table but didn’t clean the dirty seat. The next couple seated there brushed it off on the floor and none of the staff said anything or offered to clean. The waiter kept reaching over us to pour water and kept trying to take our plates we were trying to finish. Will not be back, despite the good food.

   Nothing special. There are plenty of good steak houses in San Diego. The atmosphere here was nothing special nor was the service. The food was good, but for the price, you would expect more considering what they bill themselves as. I'll pass on trying them again.

   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Greystone Steakhouse exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. The steaks were absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The wine list was equally impressive, with an excellent selection that paired beautifully with our meal. We had the pleasure of dining in their private wine cellar, which was such a unique and intimate experience. The ambiance was incredible, making the evening feel extra special. A huge shoutout to Sara, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made the night unforgettable. If you're looking for a top-tier dining experience in San Diego, Greystone is the place to go. Highly recommend it for any special occasion or just a night out to treat yourself!     When my wife and I arrived we were shocked at the Tacky ambience of this restaurant the waiter was alone and older two people at the bar and the seating very different from what we're used too, our calamari was tough and not tasty the truffle macaroni was OK and the king crab spaghetti was surprisingly good our drinks were weak let's just say we will never visit this restaurant again 🤔🙅🏾‍♂️
