   Wonerful. Always offering quality mountain lodge meals at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful every time. It is a warm and cozy room with a fire. What more could you want? Delicious bread bowl clam chowder and elk pot pies. Great appetizers. Nightly specials. Thrre is always someting gor vegetarians. A build your own salad opion is a great feature. The crinkle cut fries need to be removed from the menu. Don't let these fries dissuade you from going there. Just don't order them. Beware, they come with the fish and chips. The fish is good but the crinkle cut fries need upgrading!

   Good food, good service. We had a party of six. The restaurant was busy but our service and food were great. We will definitely be back.

   What a gem this place is! It's a sleeper. Wine list is the best deal I've seen anywhere and portions are generous! The service is so warm and friendly with an amazing team of servers who work together so well they should be a model for other restaurants. The exposed wood beams, table top decor, and wood-burning fireplace are so cozy and inviting. They don't build places like this anymore. Classic Tahoe feel. The food was good--I had the trout and my husband had the chicken schnitzel. Portions were huge! Such an interesting menu I wanted to try more! There were several large parties during our meal but everything ran seamlessly and servers were so attentive. This is a perfect place for dinner. I would highly recommend it.

   Service was great and server was very knowledgeable about menu. Food was average. Baked onion soup used too much bread and by end was just a bunch of onion. Large open area with access to the kitchen visual. Old fashioned was average.

   Christmas buffet was still good at the last seating of the evening. Nice staff. Prime rib was excellent.

   This review is for the Christmas Day buffet in the Mountain Ballroom. The atmosphere was meh, but I knew it would be since it was located in the ballroom. The food options were varied, which is what appealed when I booked. But, the food was mostly all cold, so the overall taste was just average. Disappointing given the price for the buffet. The persimmon pudding with chantilly cream was delicious. Also, we weren't staying at the resort and arrived in the dark. The signage was severely lacking, which made it very hard to find the ballroom driving in the snow.

    Great experience! Food was good. A ham or prime rib option would have been great too, but the sides and soup were spectacular. The hors d' oeuvres were a little lackluster though. But great environment and service. Very family friendly.
