Very attentive staff. Good menu. This was perfect for grabbing a quick but very tasty meal.

It was very quiet when we went (Friday evening at 7.30). Zizzi and Laguna next door was much busier and had a good atmosphere about it. Gordon’s didn’t - very flat. The food was good but not amazing and at the end of the day its burger and chips served on a tray - bit like McDonald’s!! Would I return - no

The burgers were cold and tasteless and the service was very slow. We had to ask 3 times for water and the restaurant was around 80% empty. I had 7bone and Honest burger the day before which were in an entirely different league of taste and were cheaper. Terrible food for the price and sub par service. Avoid.

Menu was fine in terms of choice but actual food seemed somewhat limited in size and quality.

They seemed a little light on staff for the number of covers they had. Took a little while to order and receive food but once it was, everything was fine and all was enjoyed. Our waiter was particularly attentive when he learned it was my son's birthday and took the cake we had brought away and came back with the candles lit singing happy birthday.

I have actually been wanting to leave a second review for this restaurant for a couple of weeks now, but to be honest, there had been some temporary issues with the quality of food - so in good faith I had to wait until the standard returned before leaving a positive review in this regard. I am relieved to be able to feedback that the staff shortages in the kitchen seem to have been rectified, and as of this past week (I dined in at lunch both today and on Sunday), the standard of food has returned. If you are on a lunch break, shopping, or attending Church over the Christmas period, I would still recommend dining early (before 1pm), as the kitchen can still be quite slow to get the food out if they get slammed with orders. However, the quality of the burger is always worth waiting for (even during the brief dip in standard). Front of House - both Manager Joel and his Assistant Manager Claudio - arealways really kind and attentive for me. It’s just a cool place, but has a warm, laid back atmosphere at the same time. Manager Joel is leaving his role this month, and I wanted to say thank you to him for his great hospitality over the past year or so.

Food was fine but the place is (on the night we went to far too understaffed). Had to wait ages to get orders / food / bill. They need to double the waiters/waitressing staff (there were only two - who were doing the best they could).

AMAZING, down from Cornwall visiting on a football trip, and managed to book in online super fast and easy, quick walk to the restaurant to be greeted by the lovely Katie. Once seated I was spoken through all the items that were gluten free ( there were many) and chose the #BAE burger. Food was outstanding and best restaurant service ever experienced. Will be definitely coming back. 5 stars

I have eaten lunch here everyday this week. For me their vegan burger is the best in Reading. It involves a healthy yet indulgent patty of some secret recipe fermented mushroom mix, which has a beautifully dense texture. People talk a lot about the price of eating out and it’s relative value at the moment. To me the vegan option of the £17 Not So Simple burger - which comes with tasty, non greasy, crispy Koffmann fries seasoned with all the good spices - represents real value. It involves true high quality satiating ingredients. Sure you can eat a few doors down at a restaurant also on the Riverside, where the equivalent vegan burger will set you back £15.95, but I can buy those Moving MountainsTM burger patties from my local supermarket (currently 2 for £4.20) so this would not represent comparable value. The team are great. There is always a warm welcome and attentive service - thank you to Joel, Claudio, Mac, Grace, Quinton, Kyle and those whose names I do not know. Great job. And of course, the kitchen team who have managed to maintain a really high and consistent standard.
