Our Armadillo Palace brings the best of Texas together with one dance hall, two bars, three stages and a state-of-the-art kitchen serving indoors and out. It's our tribute to the city that's been so good to us for generations - and a celebration of all that makes our buttons-pop-proud to be Texan.

Since crossing the big pond too long ago to count, the Goode family has dedicated itself to sharing the culinary convergence of our flavorful past: the salt of the Gulf, the soul of the South, the spice of the border and that sweet smoke of Texas. From spit-roasted chicken to grilled redfish on the half shell, our dishes are steeped in tradition - and just as much flavor.

Whiskey-forward and born from lore, our Orange Blossom Bar takes its cue from our longtime friend and local music legend, Leon "Pappy" Selph. Pappy was known for his love of smooth whiskey and the stories that flow when a few drinks and good company come together.

The empanadas were delicious, the Carne asada was so good! The seasoning on the steak is AMAZING! Our server was awesome too. Super attentive, but not overly so. When we finished dinner we went to the patio for dessert, and the strawberry cobbler did not disappoint. The server out there was great too. I'll definitely be back, and hopefully catch some live music

Not what it used to be. Food was average and beer/cider selection poor. We have been coming here for years and this was definitely disappointing.

It did take us a little too long to have a server finally come to our table, but they compensated us by providing free appetizers.

Homemade biscuits and empanadas were great! We ordered carne asada, grilled redfish, and the chicken sandwich! All so delicious! We love the atmosphere here. Casual and laid back!

Great, local Houston’s own cuisine. The pork chop is all you need! My only complaint was we had a new server and management was micro-managing versus training as well as interjecting themselves to which the order was placed incorrectly, wrong things served and that also made the timing off.

Terrible drinks. All 3 moscow mule drinkers complained. My Bloody Mary was undrinkable. Too thick. The chicken sandwich was good. Crispy fries. Mac n cheese good. Interesting place. Like a throwback in time. I would not go back. I give it a 3 but husband and son say 4.
