   The only that I’d change is there were a lot of surprise fees on the bill, like the preparation fee. I thought the listed high tea price was low compared to other establishments, but the hidden fees made it equal to other places.

   Worst experience I ever had in Austin tx. The food was awful, everything over salted, management treated family very poorly. Never coming back.

   We had afternoon tea here. No scones, just biscuits :/. The desserts were stale and they only gave us macarons. They only gave us tea bags, no loose leaf tea. The portions were generous though. I think this has a lot of room for improvement and it could be a great place for afternoon tea if they made some changes.

   The entire experience was not worth the time or money spent. There was one waiter that was taking care the entire restaurant and was the most inhospitable person. All the food took entirely too long to come and it was not good. The salad was wilted and favor less. When the notified the waiter that the food was not good he responded with “sorry that’s how it comes.” I was entertaining out of town guest and was looking a good simple brunch. This was not the place.

   none of us liked our dinner. Pumpkin ravioli had too much cinnamon & two of us ordered the braised ribs were so salty, pretty inedible. My friend didn’t eat it at all, had I not been famished from my travels & empty stomach, I would gave stopped after one bite.

   Love goodalls and am a regular, but came in and they didn’t even have a table… so had to leave… 105 degrees outside so not so happy…

   An outside the box wine dining experience! Chef Ashton did a fantastic job, pairing wines from a Hill Country winery, Portree Cellars, with seasonal dishes. He elegantly turned a typical wine dinner on its head, with innovation. This is not your Dad's wine pairing dinner! Rosé for dessert??? Yes, please. The team at Hotel Ella and Portree Cellars created a signature experience.

    Such a gem of a restaurant! We loved our dinner and drinks - and we love the house/hotel. Its so nice to have such an important part of Austin's history preserved in such an elegant and useful way! Can't wait to go back!
