Nice meal, good food but very upset when my husband was given the bill - I made it clear I was paying but the bill still passed to him. I was then given the pay machine which had a tip option on … I pressed 5% only to find out from my husband they had already added the tip to the bill- so ended up paying additional tip on top of a tip! Felt a bit robbed to be honest. Rubbish ending to a nice meal.

Hi there thanks for your review, apologies for the confusion when you paid your bill - as it said on the printed copy of the bill that you were given, we do add an optional 12.5% service charge which can of course be removed if you would like. We feel that we provide exceptional service, so we do also give our guests the option to add an additional tip if they feel that it is deserved - this is shared across all of our hardworking front and back of house team. Whilst I can appreciate your frustration at the confusion, to say that you were 'robbed' seems a little strong. Additionally, its a shame that you chose not to mention the issue at the time, as it would've been easily rectified with an instant refund. Apologies again for the miscommunication and we hope to see you again.

Amazing service, friendly and welcoming staff. Great menu, sufficient/ large portion and good quality food. Bonus points for being dog-friendly!

Fantastic belated valentines day meal at Good Neighbour Tooting. Despite having lived in the area for many years, this was our first visit. Our server (whose name I forgot to ask) was a one man show running the floor with skill and charisma, and the food was exceptional. Fried feta with honey? Banging. Artichoke dip? Delicious. Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant lovely service and food, just feels a little too cramped, far too many tables together with literally a leg space between tables so having to squeeze past people eating to get to seat. Was planning on spending a while there wedding planning but was simply too squashed and cramped so left after eating and went to somewhere else.

Saturday night dinner. Restaurant packed to the gills with tables very close together so no privacy. Only one dedicated waiting staff (who was very good but frazzled) and the front of house/barman who was friendly but so busy he forgot to put both sugar and prosecco into our cocktail carafe - he refreshed the carafe when we queried the bitter taste of it. Food ok, some nice, some poor. Heard woman on table next to us say her glass of wine was the worst she'd ever had in her life. It might be good for brunch but it's really not a good place for a dinner date. There are plenty of much better places to eat in Tooting.
