   We enjoyed Raw and BBQ oysters served with excellent spices and sauces. Bottom line we sampled about half of the Happy Hour menu on this trip and very much once again enjoyed first class service and creative culinary preparations. In earlier visits we found the fried chicken and calamari an excellent choice with their unique preparations. Friendly and attentive service brings you specialty cocktails along with the excellent dishes. Highly recommended for those who enjoy creative meals and enjoyable meals.

   I have been here a few times now and it is in my top 5 places I enjoy. The vibe is energetic. Food is incredibly good, cocktails delicious, and the service is always great. Highly recommend.

   Wed been wanting to try Goldfinch, since they moved into the space where our beloved K and L Bistro had been, in Sebastopol. We found the bar area was noisy, but hoped that the dining room would be quieter. It wasn't. It was difficult to have a conversation. The restaurant is also dimly lit, making it difficult to read the menu. My husband had oysters, which he enjoyed and I had the butter lettuce salad with mustard balsamic vinaigrette. It was swimming in dressing, which we both found to be pungent and too salty. For main courses, we had the black cod and hanger steak. Both were covered in too much sauce, which also covered everything else on the plate. My steak had chimichirri, which was also very salty and had a lot of spicy peppercorns in it. We had 2 cocktails, no dessert and no alcohol and our bill was $180, including the tip.

   The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Cocktails were good as well. Might have caught them on an off night, but service was noticeably inattentive - I don’t think anyone asked us how our food was the entire night - and we sat for quite a while waiting to order dessert.

   We had a lovely experience. Staff was gracious. Food was delicious and beautifully presented with lots of color from edible flowers. Wines and cocktails were fairly priced.

    We went for an anniversary dinner and loved the cocktails, food and service. The ahi tuna dish was delicious, the zucchini was great and the fried chicken was unexpectedly wonderful
