Food was amazing and Michelin star worthy. The only negative was that it was not a welcoming ambience from the host to the server. The host did not greet me, no smile, she looked miserable. She did not allow me to sit until the rest of the party was there which was annoying. Our server was nice at first and then rarely saw him after that. Another server took our order and was very friendly and offered his recommendations. I hate to let that be the damper of my visit so I hope to try again with better service.

I cannot count the number of visits we've had to The Girl and the Goat, but it continues to be a favorite for both personal and professional dining. I brought three colleagues, who have never been, to the restaurant for dinner. One diner is vegetarian, but there are menu offerings and options available to provide them with enough to eat. All three were quite impressed with the food. My only complaint would be our table was right next to the kitchen, which can be loud. However, we made due, and had an enjoyable meal. Service is always very good, and the cocktails are fun. If you're interested in dining, make sure you book way ahead, as there is almost no chance to get a table day of.

Something has changed, the food was good, not great. The service was terrible. It was so loud it was difficult to hear anything the server recommended. I loved this place and was excited to return, I will not be for a bit.

I recently went to Chicago for a work trip and made a reservation at the bar for 1. The service was excellent. They offer half servings of their famous goat empanadas and green beans which allows single patrons to try more things. The star of the evening was the goat belly curry. Tender and flavorful! The server also recommended adding mezcal to the spirit free smoky boy cocktail and it was sublime!

Super overrated. Sat us near the bathroom at the bar. I was looking forward to the empanadas, but they tasted like they went from the freezer to fat fryer. We felt rushed and the ambiance felt contrived. Loud and over crowded.
