   Pork belly was excellent and others enjoyed soup of the day (tomato and courgette) and squid starters. The only disappointment was a macchiato with a lot of foam but less than one mouthful of coffee. Out of a mix of starters, mains and puddings for 7 people, this was pretty negligible. A really great meal with friendly staff in a nice, calm setting. Would highly recommend.

   We all enjoyed our meal which was served by a very friendly South African lady. We recommend the pork belly or steak and ale pie, both of which were delicious. A lovely old pub in a quiet village with good car parking. Overall an excellent experience.

   A lovely presented and great tasting roast. The beef had run out so we had chicken and pork, sharing pigs and the most delicious cauliflower cheese. Staff were helpful but not intrusive or hurrying. Relaxed traditional country pub serving elevated food that looked every bit as good as it tasted.

   Excellent roast dinner lovely staff and lovely pub the only thing I would have changed was maybe cooking the vegetables more as they were very hard (I know a lot of people prefer it like that but I don't)

   Gorgeous country quintessential English pub. Food was delicious, staff friendly & professional. It was very festive & cosy. We had a lovely family festive late lunch. Perfect. Highly recommend.

   Good quality food with amazing service. Personally found there to be a small range of soft drinks/ non alcohol options with our party generally having to order identical drinks. Fire was lit and radiators on which was lovely to enter to but quickly became extremely overwhelming and borderline unbearably hot (outside temperature was around 12’c). Menu was varied and displayed well, staff were definitely the highlight of this trip.

   Gorgeous pub, staff lovely. Only criticism is the lunch menu. Be nice to have some low carb options , nice salads. Sunday lunch is the best

    The roast dinner was excellent and the service matched this too. They were very busy but the good came out very promptly and hot too. The desserts were of an equal high standard too - we both had sticky toffee pudding which was very yummy. We will definitely return soon to the George and I strongly recommend it to all readers of this comment - you will not be disappointed. Well done to the staff that served my wife and I today
