    The new owners of the George have worked extremely hard to return this pub to a place well worth a visit. They organise regular events which draw people in, and have created a lively (but not noisy) ambience that is very welcoming. The food is good with a varied menu although, like many pubs these days, it is restaurant prices. However, for a treat, it is worth it. The young staff were pleasant and helpful.

    We’ve never dined inside before, always visited in summer and sat outside. This was a family Christmas get together and we weren’t disappointed

    Fabulous food and great service Great atmosphere and all of the staff very friendly . A must visit and ask to see the dog! Would highly recommend!

    The roast dinners with disappointing. They arrived without the advertised creamed leeks and bread sauce. The food didn’t have great amounts of taste. Definitely over-priced. We would return for drinks and might try something else from the menu but for a Sunday roast there are much better options in the area.

    Great service & help. It was busy & you wouldn’t have known they all dealt h with it brilliantly. Food was good. A couple of painted blue badge spaces in the car park would be great as parking can be tricky.

    Festive menu had good choices and the portions were very generous - lovely turkey and excellent roast potatoes too. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We had a lovely unhurried gossipy pre-Christmas lunch which we all enjoyed. Thank you very much.
