The Gables Restaurant is pleased to announce that we are now open!

The Gables Restaurant in Newgate Street Village is the social hub within the local community, we are conveniently located for Cuffley, Potters Bar, Hertford and Cheshunt offering fine dining with a range of Mediterranean cuisine.
Whether you’re celebrating with friends and family or planning a romantic dinner for two our relaxed atmosphere is sure to provide the perfect setting. We also offer seated and buffet style party functions in our cocktail bar area or for larger parties in our restaurant area.

    Overall an excellent experience. The food was delicious (we ordered an array of starters and pizza and pasta mains). Service was charismatic, friendly and attentive through our visit. There was pleasant and tastefully quiet background music which gave the place an ambience whilst being able to speak to each other. Would recommend to anyone and will be returning again soon

    If you would like to do a short trip out into the country lanes and stop off in a family atmosphere, this is the feeling you get as you walk into Gables. I always feel as though I’ve been invited to dinner in someone’s living room. The quality of food is excellent and the tables are spaced out and everything is chilled and relaxed. New Year’s party was fun and again it felt like a house party. Last minute booking to have a Sunday roast is always nice to do. My favourite dish is the king size prawns. Must have dish and sticky toffee pudding. My top two faves. Hope that helps you decide to pop in and enjoy the experience.

    Always exceptional dining. The Sunday roast is unmatched to that of any others we have sought in search of the perfect roast. So much so that we recently visited the Heston Blumenthal’s establishment [The Hinds Head] in Bray for a Sunday roast, and whilst the lunch was faultless, we and accompanying friends believe it didn’t match that of the Gables.
