The Gables Restaurant is pleased to announce that we are now open!

The Gables Restaurant in Newgate Street Village is the social hub within the local community, we are conveniently located for Cuffley, Potters Bar, Hertford and Cheshunt offering fine dining with a range of Mediterranean cuisine.
Whether you’re celebrating with friends and family or planning a romantic dinner for two our relaxed atmosphere is sure to provide the perfect setting. We also offer seated and buffet style party functions in our cocktail bar area or for larger parties in our restaurant area.

    We had a great night at Gables for my wife's birthday - the food was excellent (we had steak), had a very reasonable bottle of rose champagne and the service was brilliant from start to finish - we'll definitely be back as we want to try their homemade pizzas!

    The food and service were outstanding however we were not expecting a live singer ! She was far too loud and started singing at 8pm which we thought was unnecessary. We were not there for a party just wanted a nice evening out to chat with friends. Also thought wine selection was expensive and thought the charge of £2 for a dash of lime cordial was excessive.

    First time visiting Gables but will definitely be returning. The seabass was excellent and it was a tough choice on which dessert to pick!

    Lovely slightly old fashion in the nicest possible way. Good food and lovely staff. The house wine was outstanding a Primitivo.
