We really want to see Friars Table be a success, so we reserved a table for two prior to our show at Playhouse Square. We were immediately greeted and seated. We ordered wine and a cappuccino, then ordered our meal. The meal came out within five minutes of us placing our order -which meant it was pre-cooked. When my husband ordered the salmon, the waitress told him there were no sides to it, and we understood that. A small piece of salmon in a dish of cream sauce came on a large plate - I guess we shouldn't have been surprised, but we were. I might suggest adding a little something. My husband said the salmon was good. I ordered the pork which was supposed to have some fig and cheese; I didn't see or taste any fig or cheese, and mine was a bit bland. My husband's cappuccino was only froth - it had no coffee in it. My husband chose not to say anything. The service was excellent. I'm sure the staff is still learning. We wish you well!

So glad this place was recommended to my friend and I. A pleasant atmosphere, friendly service with some top rated suggestions from the menu. We had the mushroom tart that was loaded with mushrooms and so satisfying! The lamb dinner was phenomenal! I was hesitant as I've had lamb in the past and wasn't a big fan, but decided to give it a try and I was so glad that's what we decided on. We ended the experience with coffee and the beignets. It was truly a delightful experience and we were not disappointed with any of it. The concept behind the restaurant and how they're trying to help others makes it all the better. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Food was excellent as well as the service. I had the salmon and my friend had the stew in the bread bowl and Rose beignets. I also enjoyed the refractory (non-alcoholic) drink but added vodka to it--delicious. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. We sat in the bar so the noise level was slightly higher than the dining area but that didn't bother us. It's nice to have a new restaurant to go to in the playhouse square district. Definitely give it a try.

Everything was fantastic, the food, the environment, the ambiance, the service, the value for money. And the mission behind this restaurant is commendable too. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Score another four stars for Brandon Chrostowski's newest take on food, something unexpected, too. Great English pub style food--we had the pork roulade and fried shrimp and chips. Perfect date night in Cleveland's grand theatre district.
